A tablecloth free of wrinkles and folds is much more pleasing to the eye, but we don't always, or almost never, have the time to iron it when setting the table. There is good news however, by following the method explained in the article, you can have a fold-free tablecloth ready to use whenever you want! Here's how to do it.
Steps
Step 1. Wash the tablecloth
It is important to keep tablecloths clean and free of streaks or crumbs in the linen closet. If you have stained the tablecloth with food, put it immediately in the basket of dirty clothes or, over time, the stain will be more difficult, if not impossible, to remove. Also remember that leftover food wrapped in the tablecloth can attract unwanted insects and creatures. If the fabric requires it, at the end of the wash, iron it.
Step 2. Get a long roll of cardboard
One of those that the wrapping paper is wrapped in will do just fine. Choose a quality product and not a super discounted end of season roll.

A great alternative is to ask a scrap shop if they have a finished roll of fabric available.
Step 3. Wrap the tablecloth around the roll
Depending on the length of your tube you will need to fold the tablecloth in two or three parts. Do this carefully to prevent wrinkles from forming in the fabric.
Step 4. Put the tablecloth away
Store the tablecloth in the linen closet or wherever you want. You choose whether to keep it vertically or horizontally, but make sure there are no objects above it.
Step 5. Use it
Lay the tablecloth on the table and simply unroll it. It should be wrinkle-free. Unlike the normal method of stacking fabrics, this method, by applying no pressure on the tablecloth, will allow you to have a tidy and good-looking table.
