This article explains how to upload a video file in MP4 format to the ConvertFiles.com website, to convert it to MOV format and re-download it to your computer.
Steps
Step 1. Visit the ConvertFiles.com website using your computer's internet browser
Type the URL www.convertfiles.com into the browser address bar and press the Enter key on your keyboard.
- ConverFiles.com is a free third-party web service that allows you to convert a file into different formats, simply using your computer's browser.
- Alternatively, you can do a Google search to find a conversion web service that best meets your needs.
Step 2. Click on the Browse button located in the box in the center of the page
This way you will be able to choose the file to upload to the site server for conversion.
Step 3. Select the MP4 file stored on your computer that you want to convert
Use the dialog box that appears to select the file in question, then click on the button You open.
Step 4. Select the MPEG-4 Video File (.mp4) option from the "Input format" drop-down menu
Click on the "Input format" drop-down menu and select the video file format you have chosen.
Step 5. Select the QuickTime Movie File (.mov) option from the "Output format" drop-down menu
Click on the "Output format" drop-down menu and select the target format which in this case is MOV.
Step 6. Click the Convert button
The MP4 file will be converted to the MOV format.
You can check the progress of the conversion by looking at the progress bar displayed on the screen
Step 7. Click on the link Click here to go to the download page
When the conversion procedure is complete, you will see the following notification message "The file was successfully converted" appear on the screen. The indicated link will redirect you to the download page.
On the next page you will see the link you can use to download the new file to your computer
Step 8. Select the download link with the right mouse button
It is displayed next to the item "Please download your converted file:" located in the box in the center of the page that appeared.
Step 9. Click on the Save Link As option from the context menu that appeared
You will be asked to select the folder in which to save the file in MOV format.
Step 10. Click on the Save button of the dialog box that appeared
Select the destination folder, then click the button Save. The MOV format file will be downloaded to your computer.
