To have natural eyebrows, you must first determine their length. Only then can you start filling them in using a pencil of a similar or slightly lighter color than your natural one. To add depth, color the central arch with a darker pencil. Fix them by passing a comb (which also helps to even out the color), applying a special gel and a translucent powder (which allows, among other things, to define them better).
Steps
Part 1 of 4: Determine Eyebrow Length
Step 1. Wash your eyebrows
Remove makeup residue and dirt by washing them with water and a facial cleanser. Before you start applying makeup, make sure they are dry.
Step 2. Place a pencil on the outside of the nose, aligning it with the inner corner of the eye and the middle of the nostril
Make sure you keep it upright. Notice where the tip of the pencil falls in the eyebrow area - this is where it should start.
- If your eyes are far apart, narrow the space between the eyebrows slightly. If, on the other hand, they are close, this space must be enlarged.
- It may be necessary to change the size of the eyebrows depending on your features. In general, the space between the eyebrows should be roughly equivalent to the length of the eye.
Step 3. Still placing the pencil on the outer side of the nostril, tilt it 45 ° and create a straight line with the outer corner of the eye
The area where the tip of the pencil falls marks the point where the eyebrow should theoretically end. To indicate this, draw a dot with a light pencil. This way, when you go to fill in your brows, you will know how far to proceed.
- If you have particularly thick eyebrows, this procedure also marks where they should be trimmed or trimmed with tweezers.
- In principle, the outer edge of the eyebrow should be at a 45 ° angle to the outer corner of the eye.
Part 2 of 4: Shaping the Eyebrows
Step 1. Make the inner part of the eyebrow thicker than the outer end
Also remember that this area should be characterized by compactness and uniform density. Once past the arch, gradually taper the eyebrow to the tip.
Step 2. Make sure both parts of the eyebrow are the same length
Imagining that the eyebrow is divided into two parts by the central arch, remember that the inner bushy area should be the same length as the thinned part. This trick makes your eyes bigger.
Step 3. If the outer corner of the eyebrow extends below the inner corner, remove the excess hair with tweezers
The tail of the eyebrow should not be lower than the front: it should be at the same height as the inner corner or higher.
Step 4. If your eyebrows are too long or matted, trim them with a pair of scissors, such as a nail or mustache
Before doing this, comb them upwards, towards the temples.
Part 3 of 4: Fill in the Eyebrows
Step 1. Start with filling in one eyebrow
Comb it upwards with a special toothbrush. This movement allows you to see the shape of the eyebrow and the points where it needs to be filled in order to obtain a homogeneous and orderly result.
Step 2. Start filling in the eyebrow with a pencil that is the same color as the hair or slightly lighter
Draw short, light strokes to gently color the sparse parts of the central area and the arch.
- Do not excessively color the inner corner or the tail of the eyebrow: in these areas the strokes must be drawn with a particularly light hand.
- Create a good balance on both sides. If one eyebrow is thicker, thicken the other one with the pencil as well.
Step 3. Every one or two minutes, step back and evaluate the result in the mirror
This way you can remedy if the eyebrows are too dark or the color is uneven.
Step 4. Fill in your brows with a light pencil, use a darker one to create more depth
Fill them in the center by drawing short, delicate strokes, applying minimal pressure.
- The dark pencil should not be used on the inner corner and tail of the eyebrow.
- Repeat the same steps on the other eyebrow, checking frequently to make sure you get a harmonious result.
Part 4 of 4: Fix the Eyebrows
Step 1. Even out the color by wiping with an eyebrow comb
Comb it two or three times following its shape, in order to obtain a homogeneous and natural effect.
Step 2. To set the makeup, comb it with an eyebrow gel
In addition to keeping the hair in place, it allows you to refine your eyebrows make-up, making them perfect.
Step 3. Define with translucent powder
Pick up some product with a special brush, then use it to trace the contour of the eyebrows. This allows you to define its shape, creating a clean and tidy effect.
Advice
- For a more natural effect, minimize the use of tweezers.
- Try not to use pencils that are too dark and not to tread too hard on your hand.
