Not everyone is willing to take out a curling iron, with all the damage and wasted time that it entails. Not to mention the risk of getting burnt, or those days when your hair doesn't want to be styled. By curling your hair with a common object like straws you will get a great result without having to use heat.
Steps
Step 1. Brush your hair and apply a mousse if you like
Spray hairspray into your hair from about an arm's length away.
Step 2. Start dividing your hair into sections
You can even split them in two, it's up to you. Now pull the top of your hair into a bun, and pull the bottom hair down in front of your shoulders so that it falls across your chest.
Step 3. Take the first strand of hair and spray it with water with a spray bottle
-
You need to start with the hairline. Roll your hair around the straw once, then secure it with a bobby pin. Is simple. Put the bobby pin so that one end is inserted into the straw and the other into the hair.
-
If you don't have bobby pins, you can also use rubber bands.
Step 4. Continue to roll the rest of the strand onto the straw, then put on another hairpin with the same method as before
If there is too much straw left, cut off the excess. If, on the other hand, you have a lot of hair and the straw is not enough, roll it into a tight knot then secure it with a rubber band.
Step 5. Continue this process on all hair
When you get to the hair that you had pulled up into a bun, try to do a more neat and tidy job, as that is the hair that will show the most.
Step 6. You now have two options
Keeping the straws on all night would give the hair more time to curl, however sleeping on the straws is not recommended. If you don't move too much in your sleep, or if you have a hair net, you can too, otherwise keep them only for a couple of hours.
-
As soon as you're done putting on all the straws, spray your hair with plenty of hairspray. If you are going to sleep with straws on your head, there will be no need for it.
Step 7. Bring out the straws
Start with the second hairpin, then unroll your hair and remove the first one too!
Step 8. Style your hair and style it the way you want
Advice
- The first few times it may seem difficult; try this method on someone else first.
- New hairpins have a more secure grip. Valley to buy in a supermarket, they cost very little.
- Before starting, comb your hair carefully and use a conditioner to prevent knots.
- If you have other tools to use, so much the better.
- The straw method works best if the straws are the same size.
- This method works best on same day washed hair.
Warnings
- Holding straws on your head for a short time will not give great results.
- If you don't start at the hairline, the results may not be satisfactory.
