Curling your hair is now easier and cheaper. By following these easy steps you will get soft and delicious curls using aluminum foil. With this method, you will get the result in the same time you need with a traditional system, but without spending too much.
Steps
Step 1. Gather all the materials listed so that you have everything at your fingertips
If you omit this step, you may panic and not know what to do.
Method 1 of 6: Prepare the aluminum foil and plate
Step 1. Attach the plate and turn it on to maximum
Make sure it is away from water or flammable objects.
Step 2. Take a roll of aluminum foil and tear off six 40 cm long sheets
-
Alternatively, you can find these ready-made sheets online or in beauty shops.
-
If you have very structured and thick hair, take seven or eight sheets instead of six.
Step 3. Place the six sheets on top of each other and then cut them into four equal sections
Method 2 of 6: Prepare the hair
Step 1. Start with dry, brushed hair
Make sure there are no wet or knotted spots. If you find damp strands, pat them dry and comb them.
Step 2. Using barrettes, part your hair as follows:
-
Start at the top of the hair (those above the ears) and tie back.
-
Then, take the hair from above the ear to below the ear (central part of the hair) and tie it back.
-
Finally, separate the remaining hair (lower part of the hair) into two or four sections - depending on the thickness of your hair.
Step 3. After parting your hair in this way, take some hairspray and spray it on the final part of the hair (the one that remains outside the clips)
Once all the tips are sprayed, roll the strand around your fingers and wait a minute or two.
Step 4. Repeat this operation for each lock
Method 3 of 6: Put aluminum on the hair
Step 1. Roll up the end of the strand with aluminum foil
Step 2. Repeat this operation for each lock
Step 3. Insert the ends of the aluminum sheet inside so that it remains stationary
Step 4. Continue this process over the entire surface of the head, moving towards the center and then towards the top
Method 4 of 6: Plate the aluminum
Step 1. With the hot plate, press the aluminum-coated strand
Step 2. Hold the straightener on the strand for just a few seconds and then remove it
Contact with aluminum can cause burns
Step 3. Repeat the operation with all the locks
Method 5 of 6: Remove the aluminum
Step 1. Wait until the sheets have completely cooled down
This will take 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how hot they were. If you are not sure, touch them lightly with your fingers and, if they are still too hot, wait a little longer.
Step 2. Start removing the aluminum from the lower strands
Step 3. Repeat the operation until you have freed all the strands from the aluminum
Method 6 of 6: Final touch
Step 1. After removing all the aluminum, put some hairspray on your hair
Step 2. Arrange strand by strand so that you have well-defined curls
Advice
- Some hairdressers use this system to make curls. If you can't do it yourself, look for a hairdresser near you who uses this system.
- If you have any questions, there is a video on YouTube (see link below) that perfectly illustrates how to do it.
