Vanilla is a popular aroma for perfumes and fragrances, but they can be quite expensive. There are simple ways to create a vanilla fragrance using ingredients you have in your pantry. For a unique and personalized result, you can buy essential oils and mix them with vanilla.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Use Vanilla Extract as a Perfume
Step 1. Buy a bottle of vanilla
The organic extract is very fragrant, most people use it in cooking and for making desserts, among other things. If you don't already have it in your pantry, then you can buy a vial at the grocery store.
You can buy it any size you want. However, if you plan to use it often, a larger bottle will come in handy
Step 2. Open the vanilla extract bottle, making sure to remove the protective film under the cap
Cover the entire opening with your finger and turn the bottle upside down. Put it back upright. By now you should have poured a drop of extract on your finger.
Try not to let him fall to the ground! Vanilla extract is very watery, so if you spill it or spill it too much, it will be easy to waste
Step 3. Apply it on the body
Typically, the hot spots for applying perfume are the wrists, neck and the area behind the ear. Apply a drop of vanilla extract to both wrists and sides of the neck or any area you want.
If your skin has a negative reaction to vanilla, you may be using a non-organic or synthetic extract containing other ingredients. Discontinue use or try using smaller amounts on other parts of the skin
Step 4. Keep the bottle with you
Using vanilla extract as a perfume is a quick and practical idea, but the fragrance doesn't last long. You will need to reapply it frequently for it to keep feeling.
Method 2 of 3: Create a Custom Perfume
Step 1. Buy a vial
You can buy one or several of multiple sizes. For example, a large bottle will be good for scenting your home, while a small one can be kept in your bag.
Get a spray with a nozzle that you can press down, not a trigger. It is much more practical to apply perfume
Step 2. Buy a bottle of vanilla extract
You should buy a large one, preferably organic vanilla. It is important that the extract is pure: if it contains sugar, the final scent will not be the best.
If costs worry you, remember one thing: whatever price you pay, it will be substantially lower than those of the expensive perfumes that everyone buys
Step 3. Buy some essential oils
You can add different types to the perfume to create a unique and personalized fragrance. You can buy small bottles and try them all to see which one you like best.
Some of the most popular essential oils are that of rose, lavender, peppermint, chamomile and patchouli
Step 4. Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle
Pour the essential oil of your choice into the bottle and finish filling it with the vanilla extract. If it is large, then you can pour the entire bottle of essential oil into it. If it's small, fill it halfway with oil, then pour the vanilla over it.
Shake the bottle before you spray the perfume on your skin or in the air. Some people sprinkle it in front of them and then step forward to let themselves be enveloped by the cloud created by the fragrance, using it as if it were scented water
Method 3 of 3: Choose New Fragrances
Step 1. Buy a perfume container
You can choose a spray bottle or a classic perfume bottle. The sprays are easy to apply and fit seamlessly in a bag, but larger containers can hold larger amounts of product.
Step 2. Buy essential oils
There are several characterized by multiple uses. According to aromatherapy, some fragrances have certain effects on the mind and body. Having a wide selection of essential oils is useful for creating new fragrances.
You should also buy a bottle of vanilla extract if you want to try using it to create a scent. Other popular fragrances are jasmine, lavender and rose
Step 3. Buy alcohol
It is used to preserve and mix the chosen fragrances. Choose a light one, which does not affect the selected perfumes too much.
Many people use vodka or rum to create scents at home
Step 4. Mix two or three oils in one bottle
You can choose the ones you want within your selection, the important thing is not to use more than three. Add 25-30 drops of the fragrance you want dominant, while add 12-20 of one or two base oils.
It would be best to let them sit for several days so that the fragrances mix, but it is optional for those in a hurry
Step 5. Add alcohol to oils
After mixing the oils, add about 120ml of the alcohol you want. Shake the solution to mix all the ingredients well. You can use the perfume right away or let it sit for a few weeks so that the smell of the alcohol fades and the fragrances combine.
