Are linear equations and geometric progressions not for you? Maybe it's time to take a break from math class and entertain friends with some calculator tricks. By following a few instructions you can create funny words on the monitor of the instrument while maybe you tell a nice story! Read on to learn how to play calculator games in minutes.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Write the Words Flipped
Step 1. Type 0.7734 to write "hello" which means "hello" in English
Usually, standard calculators do not have the ability to enter letters, but just write a few combinations of numbers and flip the screen and you will notice that the signs look a lot like certain words. For example, if you want to write "hello", type 0.7734 and then read the numbers upside down.
- The decimal point is important, otherwise the zero is not shown.
- This trick works with those calculators where the "4" appears with the top open instead of the tip closed.
Step 2. Enter 0.7738135 for "seibello"
If you are tired of the math class, you can pay some compliments to your classmate, just to pass the time or to win him over!
Step 3. Write 0.5537 for "boiled"
This is one of the first words that turned out to be able to write with a calculator and it never ceases to amuse kids. When you are really tired you can tell your friends, but be careful, some might take it as an insult!
Remember not to get caught by the teacher or you'll be in trouble
Step 4. Enter 0.5380 for "obese"
It is never a smart thing to criticize others for their physical appearance, but if that bully who bullies you and offends you in front of your friends is also a bit chubby, why not take a little revenge? Write the number, turn the calculator over and show him the display!
Step 5. Try 50538 for "besos"
"Besos" in Spanish means "kisses". If you want to show that special girl that you are an incurable romantic as well as a bilingual, try this cute trick.

Step 6. Do some research online, you will find many other numbers that upside down form words
A simple search will show you a lot of terms, so don't stop at this article, Google is a great tool!
- If you use the letters I, E, H, S, G, L, B, O, Z and D using the numbers 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 0, 2 and 0 you can form many terms, even if only a small part of them will be funny or interesting.
-
Here are some other ideas:
- 0.5535 by "sex".
- 0.17153 for "exile".
- 0.170 for "oil".
- 3705 for "sun".
- 376006 for "google".
Method 2 of 4: Tell a Funny Story
Step 1. Gather a good audience around you and write the number 69 on the calculator
This trick involves telling a story as you type numbers, this is a silly story suitable for teenagers. To start, type the number 69 and start narrating:
Once upon a time there was a woman with 69 boobs …
Step 2. Type 222 on the calculator
Without deleting 69, type 2 three times and as you do so continue the story as follows:
She thought there were really too many, too many, too many (222) …
Step 3. Now type 51 and hit the multiplication key
Again, don't delete and keep writing the numbers in sequence. Press the "x" key of multiplication and continue in the story:
He went to 51st Street for an appointment with Doctor X …"
Step 4. Now write
Step 8
The screen should only show this number, since you had pressed the multiplication sign. The story continues:
Doctor X underwent 8 surgeries …
Step 5. Now hit the equal sign and flip the calculator over
If you have done everything correctly, the result should be "55378008" ("no boobs" in English). End your story with the exclamation:
… And she found herself without boobs
Method 3 of 4: Magic Trick
Step 1. Write "73" on a piece of paper, fold it and give it to a friend or volunteer
Do not allow anyone to see what you have written, not even your friend / volunteer. At the end of the trick you will have to reveal the number you wrote and amaze your audience.
Step 2. Ask people to choose a 4-digit number and type it twice on the calculator
For example, it could choose 7893, so it should write "78937893". Any repeated 4-digit sequence is fine for this trick.
Step 3. Declare that the number is divisible by 137
Ask the person to verify this by dividing the 8-digit number by 137 with the calculator. Any four-digit number repeated twice is divisible by 137. In our example 78937893: 137 = 576189.
This trick works because repeating a 4-digit sequence twice is like multiplying the original number by 10001 which is divisible by 137. Give it a try
Step 4. Now ask the volunteer to divide the result by the original 4-digit number
Always following our example, after executing 78937893: 137 = 579189 the person will proceed to 579189: 7893 = 73. If you have followed the instructions exactly, the volunteer will always find the number as the final solution 73, regardless of which sequence you entered the first time.
This happens because 10001 is equal to 137x73. Dividing the 8-digit number by 137 is the same as getting the original 4-digit number multiplied by 73. So dividing the quotient of the first operation by the starting number always results in 73
Step 5. At this point, with all the pathos you are capable of, ask the volunteer to show what you wrote on the card
When the audience understands that your prediction is correct they will be amazed!
Don't reveal the mathematical basis of this trick! A good wizard knows how to keep his secrets
Method 4 of 4: Trick of 7
Step 1. Ask a friend to choose a three-digit number and secretly type it twice into the calculator (for example 123123)
Invite him to focus on the display because you will try to read his mind!
Step 2. Declare that the number is divisible by 11
Ask him to verify it by performing the operation on the calculator.
Step 3. Now announce that the result is divisible by 13 and ask for it to be verified
