Everyone likes to smell good in their home, but home fragrances can be expensive. Here's how to make one at home at a much lower price.
Steps
Step 1. Boil a cup of distilled water
Step 2. Add 4 sachets of unscented gelatin and mix until completely dissolved
Step 3. Remove the saucepan from the heat
Step 4. Add another cup of water
Step 5. Add 10-20 drops of essential oil or concentrated fragrance
Step 6. Add food coloring if you want
Step 7. Add a substance to prevent mold growth
Salt is fine, but you can also use a small amount of potassium sorbate or a little vodka.
Step 8. Pour the gelatin into a small container
You can decorate it if you want.
Step 9. Place the jar in the fridge to allow the gelatin to harden quickly (and perfume the fridge)
Step 10. Finished
Advice
- Use a ratio of 2 sachets of gelatin to each cup of water.
- You can create gels with different colors by pouring a new color on the underlying layer once it has hardened.
- Get help from an adult and pay attention to the heat source.
