Disney cartoons have been a big part of many of us' childhoods. From Snow White to Toy Story, pretty much everyone has grown up with Disney, and we have favorite characters. Learn how to draw your own by following these steps! For convenience, the characters are listed in order of creation.
Steps
Step 1. Draw Mickey and Minnie
What better way to start than with two of Disney's very first fictional characters? To draw them in Disney style, use circles to make the head and ears.
Step 2. Draw Pluto, Mickey's dog, in company with him and Minnie
Pluto is partly an English Pointer, so look at photos of real dogs to make his body more accurate.
Step 3. Draw Donald Duck, another faithful friend of Mickey Mouse
Donald is known for his short temper, but this drawing portrays his bright side: he smiles happily, with his hands behind his back.
Step 4. Draw Pinocchio
This puppet transformed into a child has many rounded corners and warm colors; keep this in mind when drawing it.
Step 5. Draw Dumbo, the flying elephant
Focus on the ears, of course, as he's famous for those.
Step 6. Draw Bambi
Highlight the long legs and big eyes, to make it even more playful and innocent. Color the body with a light brown and the head with a darker brown.
Step 7. Draw Cinderella's fairy godmother
Use long, flowing lines to trace her coat, and make her face round and gentle.
Step 8. Draw Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up
Draw it with open arms and a mischievous smile on your face.
Step 9. Draw Tinker Bell.
She is a friend of Peter Pan, has delicate arms and legs and a pair of wings. At the same time she is cheeky and lively, so try to draw her in a pose that reflects her characteristics!
Step 10. Draw Lady and the Vagabond, the protagonists of the 1955 cartoon of the same name
Although the image shown here does not portray them in the classic spaghetti scene, the position and expression of the two dogs clearly shows that they care for each other.
Step 11. Draw the Beast from Beauty and the Beast
He initially appears as a scary character, both in appearance and behavior, but Belle manages to turn him into a gentleman by the end of the cartoon (as shown in the picture).
Step 12. Draw Aladdin
Like the Beast, this character also transforms during the cartoon. The image shown here depicts Aladdin before he meets the Genius.
Step 13. Draw Mufass, Simbe's father in "The Lion King"
Mufasa has a regal bearing and a fierce look, so try to make these details in your drawing.
Step 14. Draw Buzz Lightyear
Since he's not a human but a toy, Buzz has crisp, artificial lines, so keep that in mind as you draw!
Step 15. Draw Cruella De Mon, the main antagonist in the cartoon "The 101 Dalmatians"
Cruella has an edgy face and richly colored clothing, contrasting with white skin and black hair.
Advice
- Trace the final outlines with a black pen or pencil.
- Keep a light line with your pencil so that you can easily erase any mistakes.
- If you want to color the drawing with markers or watercolors, use relatively thick paper, and darken the edges before moving on to color.
