While cutting peppers is relatively easy, you may not know where to start in order to cut them efficiently. This article will show you how.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Method 1 of 3: Sliced
Step 1. Rinse the pepper
Step 2. Hold it upright with the stem facing up and the smaller base on the cutting board
Start dividing it into sections according to the size you want.
However, try not to cut about half an inch from the stem.

When done, the pepper should look similar to the one in this picture.
Step 3. Remove the white part inside the pepper
Step 4. Cut it into slices as wide as you like
Serve them or use them for cooking
Method 2 of 3: Method 2 of 3: Cubed
Step 1. Rinse and cut the pepper as shown in the previous steps
Step 2. Line up a few slices of pepper and start cutting them crosswise into cubes
To allow them to cook evenly, cut the cubes into equal parts. Keep cutting until you reach the desired amount.

Serve or cook them.
Method 3 of 3: Method 3 of 3: For the Filling
Step 1. Cut the top of the pepper where the stem is
Do not throw it away, as you will use it on the pepper once stuffed.
Step 2. Delete the inner white part
You can use a knife to cut it and your fingers to remove the seeds left inside.
Step 3. Remove all seeds
Step 4. Fill the pepper with ingredients of your choice
Place the stem over the pepper and cook according to the recipe you are following.
Advice
- When choosing peppers for cooking, opt for ones that appear shiny, stiff to the touch and with a juicy texture. If the pepper is wrinkled or dull, don't use it.
- The pepper is also known by the name "Capsico". In fact, it belongs to that family.
- Once purchased, the peppers keep well in the fridge for a few days. Keep them in the salad drawer.
