Have you always wished your Sim family had a pair of twins? If so, you are in luck! There are three different ways to have twins in The Sims 2, as well as waiting for fate to play its part. Two of these possibilities require The Sims 2: Funky Business and The Sims 2: Free Time expansions, and one of them is a cheat.
Steps
Step 1. Option 1:
This only works if you have The Sims 2: Free Time or another later expansion or an item expansion. Note: Your Sim's primary suction must be set to "Family" for it to work properly.
Step 2. In Live Mode, go to the "Benefits Aspirations" of your female Sim's UI
It is a combination of the Inventory and Suction Points tabs.
Step 3. Go to the third tab at the bottom, and click on the figure to the left of that screen
Step 4. Click on each box until you have reached "Super Fertility" at the top of the panel
This costs you 4 Aspiration Points.
Step 5. Your couple now has a higher chance of conceiving twins
Step 6. Option 2:
With tricks.
Step 7. Once your Sim conceives, open the cheat screen with the Ctrl + Shift + C keys
Step 8. Enter this code in the white box:
forcetwins.
Step 9. Your Sim will give birth to twins
Step 10. Option 3:
This only works if you have The Sims 2: Funky Business installed.
Step 11. Have your pregnant Sim eat cheesecake
You will then have a percentage of having twins close to 100%.
Advice
- Unlike the genre, your Sim's chance of having twins is determined at conception. You cannot load your game before your Sim gives birth and have a single child become a pair of twins, or vice versa.
- There have been many rumors over the years about the method of having twins. The only one food that leads to having twins is just cheesecake with the Funky Business expansion (and must also be eaten once during pregnancy), and the only one trick that works is "forcetwins".
- For the former, you must have The Sims 2: Free Time expansion, which installs the Aspirations Panel in the game.
