There are 7 HMs (Hidden Moves) in Pokemon FireRed: HM 1 Slash, HM 2 Flight, HM 3 Surf, HM 4 Strength, HM 5 Lightning, HM 6 Rock Breaker, and HM 7 Waterfall. Getting these HMs takes different methods and a combination of skill and patience. So, are you ready to get started?
Steps
Part 1 of 7: Cutting
Step 1. Go to the Cerulean city and fight with the trainers on the bridge
After defeating them all, go East and fight with the trainers (catch all wild Pokemon you come across).
Step 2. After defeating all the coaches, go inside the house
There you will find Bill, the Pokemon researcher, in the guise of Pokemon. Get in, talk to him and help him out.
Step 3. After pulling it out of the Pokemon costume, he will thank you and give you the ticket for the SS Anne ferry and tell you to go to him
Step 4. After receiving your pass, go to the Vermillion city and then south to the port
Get on the ship and fight with all the trainers and then meet the captain. He will give you Hidden Move 1, Cut. With this move you can cut wood that obstructs the passage to areas that you previously could not access.
When you go to the captain you will fight Gary. Make sure your Pokemon are strong and can fight (there is a girl who makes Pokemon rest on the ship)
Part 2 of 7: Flight
Step 1. Go to the Celadon city, you can get Flight on Route 16 west of the city
Step 2. When you get to Celadon head west to Route 16, when you get out of town go up and cut the trees
Step 3. Go through the double building in the "hidden house"
Step 4. Talk to the girl inside, she will ask you to keep the secret of the house
Accept and as a reward you will receive Hidden Move 2, Flight. With this move you will be able to use the flying Pokemon Centers to go to the Pokemon Centers.
You will need a Pokemon with the Hidden Cut Move
Part 3 of 7: Surf
Step 1. Go to the Safari Zone, in the Fuchsia city
Step 2. When in the Safari Zone, go to Zone 4, inside, and get the reward:
Hidden Move 3, Surf. With this move you will be able to use water Pokemon to cross the long stretches of water.
There is a minimum number of steps you need to take - if you don't want to catch Pokemon and just want to get the Surf skill, go inside separately. Doing so will cost you $ 500
Part 4 of 7: Come on
Step 1. After receiving Surf in the Fuchsia city, head to the Guardian's house
He will ask you for something you will not understand, you will have to find his gold tooth (which you may have collected while searching for Surf).
Step 2. The gold tooth is located in Zone 4 of Safari
Step 3. After giving it to the Guardian, he will give you Hidden Move 4, Strength
With this move you can move blocks along the way (like in caves, etc.).
Part 5 of 7: Lightning
Step 1. "Fly" to Route 2 (or go through Diglett's cave using a Pokemon with the Slash ability), south of the town of Pewter
Step 2. Go through the passage building and up the stairs, you should get this hidden move if you have 10 Pokemon
So if that's the case, you'll get Hidden Move 5, Lightning Bolt. This ability is used to illuminate dark caves (for example the Tunnel of Stones).
Part 6 of 7: Rock Breaker
Step 1. After defeating the Cinnabar Island gym, you will be taken to Island One
Go to the far end of the island and use Surf to find a cave (Ember Spa).
Step 2. Go inside and talk to the man near the waterfall
Step 3. He will give you Hidden Move 6, Rock Breaker
This skill is used to destroy the crumbling blocks along the way.
Part 7 of 7: Waterfall
Step 1. Go to Island Four and then enter the cave
Explore it by pushing rocks (use a Pokemon with the Strength ability).
Step 2. At some point you will encounter the same Pokeball you saw at the cave entrance, press A to get Hidden Move 7, Waterfall
This ability can be used to climb the waterfalls that block the path.
