This article explains the method to verify your Paypal account so that you can send, receive and withdraw money with fewer limits.
Steps
Step 1. Visit https://www.paypal.com/ with a browser
If you do not log in automatically, click on Log in in the upper right corner of the window and enter your credentials.
Step 2. Click Summary
It is a tab in the upper left part of the window.
If you are using a mobile device and you don't see Summary, click on Menu in the upper left corner of the screen.
Step 3. Scroll down and click Find out how much money you can send with PayPal
You will find this item in the "More information about your account" section.
Step 4. Click Verify Your Account at the top of the window
Verified PayPal users pay lower rates and have fewer restrictions, such as low limits, on the amount of money they can send, receive or withdraw
Step 5. Follow the onscreen instructions to verify your account
If you live in the United States, you must complete two of the following three steps:
- Link a bank account by providing account number and routing, then, if the instant link is not available, check the amount of small deposits PayPal will make within 2-3 business days.
- Connect a debit or credit card, providing all the necessary information, such as card number, expiration date, billing address and security code, then verify the code contained in the description of a transaction that PayPal will operate within 1-2 days working.
- Provide your Social Security Number.
- Verification requirements vary from country to country. Follow the on-screen prompts to understand what you need to do to verify your account. For example, for Italy it is sufficient to check the credit card associated with the PayPal account.
