This article explains how to use the "send" key on Facebook Messenger to wrap instead of sending a message. This operation is only necessary on the Facebook website because on the mobile application the send or enter key is different from the one you need to use to send the message.
Steps
Step 1. Log in to Facebook from your browser
Enter your username and password, then click on "Login".
Step 2. Click on Messenger
It is located in the panel on the left, under the profile photo.
Step 3. Click on a conversation
Step 4. Write your message in the field provided
Step 5. Press ⇧ Shift at the same time And Enter.
The text cursor will be moved to the next line without sending the message.
- This method also works in chat windows that are opened on the main Facebook page.
- Although it used to be an executable action, it is no longer possible to change the default action of the "enter" key.
- If you use the Messenger mobile application, the "send" or "enter" button allows you to automatically wrap without sending the message, as there is a separate send button specific to messages.
