While you can't change your Gmail email address, unless you create a new account, you can easily change the name associated with your account. This procedure is particularly useful if after getting married you want to associate your new name with your mail profile (this situation can occur especially in some countries of the world). Steps
Step 1. Log into your Gmail account
Enter your username and password, then press the 'Login' button.
Step 2. Go to Gmail 'Settings'
Press the gear button in the upper right corner of the window. From the drop-down menu that will appear, select the 'Settings' item, it is the fourth option starting from the bottom.
Step 3. Select the 'Account' tab
It is the fourth tab from the left of the settings panel.
Step 4. Scroll through the list of options looking for the 'Send message as' section, then select the email address you want to change by choosing the 'change information' link
This option will appear on the right of each email address.
Step 5. Type the new name you want to associate with your e-mail address in the text field below the old name, then press the 'Save changes' button
All done! To verify the accuracy of your work, send a message to your friend and make sure your new name is displayed.
