This article explains how to download the Instagram app on your Kindle Fire HD tablet. You can do this from the Amazon Appstore, or if you prefer, from one of the many alternative stores.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: from the Amazon Appstore
Step 1. Open the Amazon Appstore
You can do this by pressing Applications in the Carousel in the upper left corner of the screen.
Step 2. Press Search
The button is located in the upper right corner of the screen and looks like a magnifying glass.
Step 3. Type "Instagram" in the search bar at the top of the screen
Step 4. Press Instagram
You'll see the app appear in the results below the search bar.
Step 5. Prizes FREE
You will find this orange button to the right of the app icon.
Step 6. Press Get App
This button is green and replaces that one FREE. A progress bar will appear on the screen showing the download status.
Step 7. Press Open
Once the download is complete, this button will replace the progress bar. You can now set up Instagram on your Kindle Fire HD.
Method 2 of 4: from 1 Mobile Market
Step 1. Enable "Applications from unknown sources"
By activating this option you can download and install programs downloaded from app stores other than Amazon's. To access the setting:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen.
- Awards Settings;
- Awards Safety;
- Move the button next to to "On" Applications from unknown sources
- Awards OK.
Step 2. Download 1 Mobile Market
Open the 1 Mobile Market downloads page; the file should be downloaded automatically within 3 seconds. If not, press the link next to the countdown to start the operation manually.
Step 3. Install 1 Mobile Market
Swipe left or press the button with the three small lines located to the left of the URL bar to open the side menu. Click on the downloads section and wait for the application to download. Press the program icon and the installation screen will open; confirm and allow the required permissions. Press the "Install" button at the bottom of the screen and wait for the operation to finish. At that point, press the "Open" button.
Step 4. Search and download Instagram
Type Instagram in the search bar at the top, then hit Enter. Press the app icon in the results (it should be the first one). Next to it, you will see the green "Install" button. Press it and wait for the download to finish; press on the notification that appears and asks you to confirm the operation.
Step 5. Install Instagram
An installation screen will open, asking you if you want to confirm the operation and if you allow the permissions requested by the app. Press the "Install" button at the bottom of the screen and wait. When finished, press "Open". You just installed Instagram!
The Instagram app you just downloaded is exactly the same as the one you can find on Google Play. You can open it from the Home screen by pressing its icon. The image may be slightly grainy, but when you open it, you won't notice any difference with the original
Method 3 of 4: ApkPure
Step 1. Enable "Applications from unknown sources"
By activating this option you can download and install programs downloaded from app stores other than Amazon's. To access the setting:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen.
- Awards Settings.
- Awards Safety.
- Move the button next to to On Applications from unknown sources.
- Awards OK.
Step 2. Search for Instagram on the ApkPure website
Visit this address, where you will see a search bar. Type "Instagram" and select the app from the results. It should be the first; next to its name you should see the official application icon.
Step 3. Install Instagram
Above the app icon you should see the green "Download APK (14.7 MB)" button. Press it and wait for the download to finish. Swipe left or press the button with the three small lines on the left of the URL bar to open the side menu. Press on the downloads section and wait for the application to be downloaded, then press its icon. The installation screen will open, where you will have to confirm and allow the permissions requested by the program. When done, press Open. You have installed Instagram!
Method 4 of 4: Evozi
Step 1. Enable "Applications from unknown sources"
By activating this option you can download and install programs downloaded from app stores other than Amazon's. To access the setting:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen.
- Awards Settings.
- Awards Safety.
- Move the button next to to On Applications from unknown sources.
- Awards OK.
Step 2. Go to the Instagram page on Google Play
Visit the Google Play website and type in the app name. Press on Instagram in the search results; you should see the official icon next to the name. Select the link in the address bar, then press "Copy".
Step 3. Paste the link into the Evozi website and generate the download link
Visit this address. You will see a bar where you can paste the Google Play link. Press and hold your finger on the bar until a series of options appear. Select Paste to copy the link, then press the blue "Generate Download Link" button below.
Step 4. Install Instagram
Below the bar with the Google Play link you will see information about the app. Press the green button "Click here to download now.com. Instagram.android". Swipe left or press the button with the three small lines on the left side of the address bar to open the side menu. Press on the download section and wait for the application to be downloaded, then press its icon; an installation screen will open, in which you will have to confirm and allow the permissions requested by the program. Press the "Install" button at the bottom of the screen and wait. When finished, press "Open". You just installed Instagram!
