This article explains how to download and apply a custom theme on Telegram from the "Desktop Themes Channel" using an Android device.
Steps
Step 1. Open Telegram on your device
The app icon features a white paper airplane in a blue circle and is located in the apps menu.
Step 2. Tap the white icon
This button is located in the upper right corner, at the top of the conversation list. The search screen will open.
If a specific conversation opens, tap the button to go back, in order to reopen the chat list
Step 3. Type Themes in the search bar
Find the search bar at the top of the screen and type "Themes" on your keyboard. As you write below the bar, the relevant results will appear.
Step 4. Tap Desktop Themes Channel in the search results
Look for the "Desktop Themes Channel" in the list under the search bar and open the channel. In this channel, which has been approved, you can find and download various themes.
Step 5. Scroll up to find a theme you like
This channel regularly posts several themes that you can download within it. Scroll up to find one you want to install.
Alternatively, you can peruse the entire catalog of themes in the browser. By selecting a theme from the catalog you will be redirected to this channel
Step 6. Tap the down arrow icon next to one of the themes
This way the selected theme will be downloaded to your mobile or tablet. The arrow icon will be replaced by one depicting a sheet of paper.
Step 7. Tap the sheet icon next to the downloaded theme
This will allow you to preview it in full screen.
Step 8. Tap Apply
This button is located in the lower right corner of the full screen preview. The selected theme will be installed and applied within Telegram on the mobile or tablet.
