Facebook is one of the most famous and used social networks in the world. It has hundreds of millions of users already registered and the number continues to grow every day. For this reason it is completely normal for users to download the application on their devices in order to get the most out of their experiences. If the Facebook app is not present among those pre-installed on your device, you can download it from the Android Play Store. It is possible to install the Facebook app both via computer and directly from the Android device. In both cases it is a very simple operation that can be done in a few minutes.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Mobile Device
Step 1. Go to the Google Play Store
Tap the corresponding icon visible on the Home of the Android device.
- If the Play Store app is not listed on the current Home page, swipe the screen left or right or up or down (depending on your device model) to find and open it.
- If the app is not visible on Home, try searching for it in the "Applications" panel.
Step 2. Search using the keyword "facebook"
Touch the Play Store search function icon (characterized by a magnifying glass) located in the upper right corner of the screen and type the word "facebook", then press the keyboard key to start the search (usually located in the lower right corner of the latter).
Step 3. Access the page containing the detailed information of the application
The official Facebook app should be the first to appear in the results list. Select it to access the corresponding page.
Step 4. Press the "Install" button
The application will be automatically downloaded and installed on your device. Once the download is complete, press the "Open" button that will appear inside the Play Store window. If you have already closed the Play Store app, you will need to select the Facebook program icon that you find in the "Applications" panel.
- If you are prompted to authorize the application to access specific data or hardware peripherals of the device, simply press the "OK" button. Downloading and installing the program will only take a few seconds, depending on the speed of your internet connection.
- At the end of the installation you will be able to access the Facebook platform directly from your Android device through the appropriate application.

Step 1. Go to the official Google Play Store site
Start the internet browser of your choice and type or paste the URL https://play.google.com/store into the address bar of the program, then press the "Enter" key.
Step 2. Connect the Android device to the computer
To perform this step, use a USB data cable.
Step 3. Search using the keyword "facebook"
Use the search bar displayed at the top of the screen. The official Facebook application should be the first to appear in the results list.
Step 4. Download and install the Facebook app
Click on the "Install" button. You will be asked to choose the device on which to install the application. Make sure your Android smartphone or tablet is the one selected in the drop-down menu.
- If you are using the Gmail account your device is synced with, the application will be downloaded and installed on the device.
