Steps
Method 1 of 2: Transfer Photos via USB Cable
Using the USB cable is the fastest way to transfer files to / from your Android device. Follow the instructions below to know how to proceed.
Step 1. Connect your phone to one of the USB ports on your computer with the USB cable
A new device will appear in the left pane of Windows Explorer, under your computer's hard drive icon
Step 2. Check the SD card
If an SD card is inserted in your phone, please note that you may need to check the "Card" folder and the "Phone" folder to view the images. Most people store their images on their SD card.
Step 3. Once the desired folder is open, locate a folder called "DCIM"
Step 4. Open the folder
You should see your photos. If they do not appear, check the other storage folder as indicated in step 3.
Method 2 of 2: Transfer Photos via Dropbox
Dropbox is an application designed for storing files in the cloud. You can save any file to your Dropbox and access it from anywhere and on your computer. Here's how to transfer photos from your Android device to your PC via Dropbox.
Step 1. Download "Dropbox" from the Google Play Store
Open the Google Play application, and type "Dropbox" in the search box located at the top of the screen.
Step 2. Select Dropbox from the search results
The application page in the Play Store will appear. At the top right, click on "Install".
Step 3. Launch the application
You will be asked to login. If you don't already have an account, the application will guide you step by step through the process of registering a new account.
Step 4. Log in
Once logged in for the first time, the application will ask you if you want to save all new images to the online archive. If you have a lot of data, or if you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, click on the "Yes" button.
Step 5. Open the browser on your PC
Log into your Dropbox account at https://dropbox.com. You will be prompted to install the Dropbox software on your computer. Follow the installation instructions, then open the Dropbox folder on your PC.
Step 6. Transfer the files
Once the Dropbox folder is fully synchronized, you can arrange the files in the folder as you like. You can also transfer additional images to it and access them from your Android device.
