This article teaches how to create a playlist and add songs on the Google Play Music application using an Android device.
Steps
Step 1. Open Google Play Music on your device
The icon looks like a pair of headphones with the words "Google Play Music" and is usually found in the app drawer.
Step 2. Tap ☰ in the upper left corner
Step 3. Tap Music Library
Step 4. Tap Songs
It is among the options found at the top of the screen. The list of songs in the library will appear.
If you don't have any songs in your library, tap the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner of the screen to search for a song
Step 5. Tap ⁝ next to a song you want to add
Step 6. Tap Add to Playlist
The list of playlists will appear (if you have at least one).
Step 7. Tap New Playlist
Step 8. Enter the title of the playlist
This will be the name that will appear on Google Music.
Step 9. Type a description
This can help you locate the playlist and distinguish it from others.
Step 10. Tap Create Playlist
The playlist will then be published and will contain only one song.
Step 11. Search for another song to add
You can go back to the "Songs" section or enter some terms to do a search.
Step 12. Tap ⁝ next to another song
Step 13. Tap Add to Playlist
The list of playlists will appear.
Step 14. Tap the playlist you just created
The song will then be added. You will be able to continue adding more songs to the playlist using this method.
