If you use the Netflix app on a phone or tablet, you can quickly share links to your favorite movies and TV shows using any messaging app. This article explains how to share your favorite content and access your account with other people.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Share a Movie or Show Using the Mobile Application
Step 1. Open Netflix on your device
The app icon looks like a red "N" that you can find on the Home screen, in the app menu or by doing a search.
Devices include iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android phones and tablets
Step 2. Look for the page specifically dedicated to the movie or TV show you want to share
Once you have opened Netflix, you will be able to view the home page, where you will find recommendations, your list and the content you haven't finished watching yet. You can press on one of these movies or programs to open the page with all its details.
Step 3. Click on the icon

You will see it below the summary of the TV show or movie. By pressing on this icon, a list with various sharing options will appear.
Step 4. Select a sharing method
If you choose a sharing method such as Messenger, the application in question will open a message that will share the page link with all the details about the movie or program. You will need to add the contact you want to send this information to.
You can also press on Copy link, so you can publish it wherever you want.
Method 2 of 2: Share Your Account
Step 1. Visit https://netflix.com or open the Netflix application
If you are not already logged in, please log in to continue.
- Your Netflix account can be shared with up to five people. However, the number of users who can use Netflix at the same time depends on their account type.
- The basic plans (the cheapest ones) allow one viewer at a time. The standard subscription (the intermediate one) authorizes two simultaneous viewers. The premium subscription, on the other hand, authorizes four viewers at a time on the same account.
Step 2. Click or press + Add a profile
This option is found on the profile selection screen (which says "Who Wants to Watch Netflix?" At the top of the screen).
If you use Netflix on a computer and don't see this option, click on your name or profile photo in the top right corner, then click Manage profiles.
Step 3. Create a profile for the person you want to share your account with
The profile you create should have a unique name and avatar, but the person using it will need to log into Netflix using your username and password.
- If you want to share an account with a child, check the box next to the "Child?" before continuing.
- Then, type this person's name and select "Continue".
Step 4. Give your Netflix username and password to the person you share the account with
When you log in, you can click or tap on your profile to start watching movies and TV shows.
- If you give someone your account password, consider that this person will have access to all the data you have recorded on Netflix. Share your account judiciously.
- If you share your account, you can upgrade to use Netflix on up to four devices at the same time.
