LTE is one of the many types of wireless networks that smartphones can connect to. In almost any phone, you can switch to the LTE network from the settings. This article explains how to access network settings on various devices.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Activate 4G LTE on iOS
Step 1. Open Settings
This app usually has a gray gear icon and is located on the Home screen.
Step 2. Select Mobile in the Settings menu
Step 3. Move to On
the button Cellular data.
The settings for mobile networks will open.
Step 4. Press Activate LTE
A new setting will open.
Step 5. Select Voice and Data
You have successfully enabled 4G LTE network on your iOS device.
Method 2 of 4: Activate 4G LTE on Android
Step 1. Open Settings
This app usually has a gear icon and you can find it in the app drawer.
Step 2. Press Tethering and networks or Mobile networks.
A new page will open.
Click on "More settings" under the "Wi-Fi and internet" category if you don't find the aforementioned options in "Settings"
Step 3. Click on Network mode
In some models, you can find a drop-down menu with various types of mesh.
Step 4. Click on LTE or LTE / CDMA.
You just enabled 4G LTE speed connection on your Android device.
- If "LTE" is not an available option, you will find an alternative method in the steps below.
- Press on Menu and select Phone.
- Enter the following code with the numeric keypad: *#*#4636#*#*
- Awards Enter to execute the command. Important information about your device will appear, such as battery details, Wi-Fi, and more.
- Press on Phone information, then scroll up Set preferred network type.
- Select the option with LTE speed. In most cases, this entry reports LTE / GSM / WCDMA. Press it to enable the 4G LTE network and the 4G logo will appear at the top of the device.
- Repeat the above steps after restarting your device. When you turn off your mobile, the network options return to their default settings.
Method 3 of 4: Enable 4G LTE on Windows Phone
Step 1. Go to the Home screen and tap on Settings
Usually this app has the gear icon and you can find it in the application menu.
Step 2. Tap on Mobile networks in the Settings menu
Step 3. Click on Faster Connection
Once done, press 4G in the menu that appears.
Step 4. Select On
You have successfully activated the 4G LTE network on your Windows Phone.
Method 4 of 4: Enable 4G LTE on Blackberry
Step 1. Go to the Home screen and select Settings
You will usually see the gear icon of the app you are looking for on the first screen.
Step 2. Select Networks and Connections
To view this item, scroll down in the Settings menu.
Step 3. Select Mobile Network
Once done, find the item Network mode.
Step 4. Select 4G and 3G or 4G, 3G and 2G.
You will see these options appear in the drop-down menu on the Network Mode screen.
Select the 4G option which includes 2G speeds if you travel frequently within your country. With this setting you will be sure to receive mobile signal even in rural areas with slower networks
Step 5. Save your settings
You have successfully activated the 4G LTE network on your Blackberry device.
Advice
- Ask your mobile operator for information if "4G" or "4G LTE" speeds are not available on your mobile phone. In some cases, your device may be able to support 4G LTE speeds even if this option is not present.
- If you are at an event with many other people and cannot receive cellular signal, please turn off the LTE network in the settings. The phone will connect to a slower but less crowded 3G or 2G signal.
