Scrolls are part of our history. In ancient times, they were used as paper and rolled up rather than folded and stored in binders or folders. Making a roll of parchment is a fun activity as well as an economical one. All you will need is patience, some coffee, some paper, a pair of chopsticks and some duct tape. Let's get started right away!
Steps
Step 1. Get the card
Immerse it completely in the coffee, wetting it evenly on both sides. Leave it to soak until it reaches the desired shade. Transfer the paper outdoors very carefully. If it's a rainy day, transfer it to a heated heater. In any case, make sure that the card cannot fly away or burn. In case you transfer it outside do not expose it to direct only.
Step 2. Wait an hour before taking the card back
Return it to the work surface.
Step 3. If you wish to write something on your parchment, now is the time to do so
You can write anything you want, using the handwriting of your choice. If you want to get into the right spirit, use a quill and an inkwell. You can make your parchment really realistic by creating a few smudges or smears of ink.
Step 4. Take the chopsticks, separate them, and arrange them on both ends of the parchment
Attach them to the paper with masking tape. Then roll the paper around the chopsticks until they are completely covered. Use the duct tape again and make sure there is a rolled wand on each side.
Step 5. Roll the parchment towards the center on both sides
You can gently secure it using a small piece of string. Congratulations, your parchment roll is ready!
Advice
Be patient and don't worry about achieving perfection. Small tears, tears and even a few ink stains will make your creation more authentic
