Temporary tattoos are very popular among people of all ages and are a low-risk and challenging alternative to regular tattoos. This tutorial will show you the steps required to apply a flawless tattoo.
Steps
Step 1. Choose the tattoo you want to apply
Step 2. Remove the plastic film that protects the surface of the tattoo
Step 3. Choose the most suitable place on the body to apply the tattoo
Clean the area using cotton and alcohol.
Step 4. Place the tattoo on the body, facing the correct side towards the skin
Watch it and choose the location based on how you want it to appear to other people.
Step 5. Press the tattoo firmly using a damp (but not soaked) sponge or cloth
Step 6. Hold the position for at least 60 seconds
In this way the image will be more complete and defined. Try to move as little as possible.
Step 7. Remove the used cloth or sponge
Step 8. Very gently, grab a corner of the paper using two fingers, and very slowly begin to remove it from the tattoo
If the image does not appear sharp, or does not remain imprinted on the skin, press it again using the sponge or damp cloth for another 30 seconds. If it looks sharp, continue to remove the backing paper very slowly.
Step 9. Wait another minute for the tattoo to dry completely
Do not move the area on which you have imprinted the tattoo if you want to get a perfectly smooth result.
Step 10. Done
Your temporary tattoo is ready.
Advice
- It is usually easier to apply small tattoos because the risk of breaking them when removing the backing paper is considerably lower.
- Try not to scratch the tattoo if you want it to last a long time.
