Often the tickets you buy, no matter how beautiful, are a bit impersonal. Give your friends and family a truly unique ticket just for them by doing it yourself! Whoever receives it will know that it is personal. Here's how to create a card and some ideas for creating them with advanced designs.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Design Your Ticket
Step 1. Fold a sheet of paper in half
The best type of paper is A5 semi-rigid paper. It is a strong sheet that folds easily. A4 can still be fine. You can purchase cardstock from a stationery.
You can also use any type of paper you have around the house. Making cards is a way to use clippings that would otherwise keep going around forever until you throw them away. If you have a large, irregularly shaped piece of paper, cut it into a rectangle. Fold it in half as you would any other sheet
Step 2. Choose the theme
It can be a picture, a drawing, a sticker, beautiful handwriting or even a small object. You can also add a photograph that would have special meaning for the recipient. Be creative - use glitter, cleaners or any other items you have around the house.
Remember who gets your ticket and on what occasion. Is it destined for grandfather for Christmas? Maybe cutting out a Christmas tree and gluing it to the front would be nice
Step 3. Think about how to decorate the rest
There are many ways to do this. Place a couple of layers of colored paper each smaller than the other under the main object.
- You can also draw around or use a ruler to make a border with color.
- Arrange the pipe cleaner all around to create a three-dimensional border.
Step 4. Decide if you want to put the wish in front of you right away
You can buy stickers with the wishes written on them or write them directly by hand. Don't add them until you've glued everything together.
Method 2 of 4: Making The Ticket
Step 1. Put all the ideas together
Once you have outlined everything, move things away from the card remembering where they will be pasted. A trick to help you remember the various steps is to arrange everything from the bottom up on the table as well. This way you won't get confused when you need to glue.
Step 2. Write the wish on the front of the card
It is optional. Write wishes once everything else is attached. If you have a sticker with a specific wish on it, place it where you want it to go.
Step 3. Write your message inside
It can be as simple as 'I hope you are better!' Or as detailed as in a letter.
Method 3 of 4: Making the Bag by Hand
Step 1. Find a square piece of paper
It should be wide enough for the card to fit in half. To try, turn the square so that it becomes a diamond. Fold the left and right corners inward towards each other. Place the card horizontally over these two folded corners - if it stays within the edge of the square, the piece of paper is the right size.
You can either use a ruler to measure a square from a larger piece of paper, or buy it with a nice pattern at a stationer's
Step 2. Arrange your square on the table so that it looks like a diamond
Draw an 'X' from each corner diagonally. Do it with a pencil and stay light.
Step 3. Fold the left (triangle A) and right (triangle B) corners inward so that they match the lines of the 'X'
Run your finger along the outer edges of the two folded sections so they stay that way.
Step 4. Fold the bottom corner (triangle C) so that it points approximately one centimeter to the center
It doesn't have to be exactly an inch, but it has to be very close to it. Run your finger along the bottom edge to engrave the paper well.
Step 5. Put a piece of double-sided tape inside points A and B
These are points that touch in the center of the card. The tape should be at the bottom so that it goes towards the edge of the triangles A and B. It should not be longer than two centimeters. It should be close enough to the edge where the triangle C is folded and pressed against the other two so it won't show.
If you don't have double-sided tape, use glue. Put a thin strip of glue along the bottom edges of the triangles A and B
Step 6. Press triangle C against triangle A and B
Double sided tape or glue should hold the triangles together.
Step 7. Fold the top corner (triangle D) so that the tip folds over the triangle C
This will be the top of the envelope.
Step 8. Place the card inside the envelope
To keep the envelope closed, put a sticker on the tip of the triangle D.
You can also put the tape along the edge of the triangle D so that the envelope is well sealed. If you like the idea but not the look of the ribbon, buy a colorful one
Method 4 of 4: Extra Ideas
Step 1. Personalized birthday card ! Those who receive it will appreciate it very much even after the party is over.
Step 2. Impress with an animated card Animated cards are three-dimensional and great for kids.
At Christmas you can also make an animated one with a Christmas tree.
Step 3. Personalize the card with a silhouette. For a romantic and dated touch.
Step 4. Decorate your card with beads. The beads make the card three-dimensional and gorgeous.
Step 5. Use decorative stamps. Stamps can decorate your birthday card and give it a more professional touch.
