Steps
Step 1. Choose the size of the quilt you want to make
The standard measures of a bed, based on its specific type, are the following:
- Standard mattress size:
- Single 80 x 190 cm
- Square and a half 120 x 190 cm
- Double 160 x 190 cm
Step 2. Divide the quilt size by the size of the fabric sections you want to sew
Then add the thickness of the seams, the size of the edges and any other elements that characterize the design of your quilt.
Step 3. Gather enough material to make the quilt in the size you choose
For the section of the quilt that will host the photograph, choose a white or very lightly colored fabric.
Step 4. Before proceeding to cut and sew the quilt, wash and iron all the parts of the fabric you have purchased
