Corn on the cob is a summer classic, quick and easy to prepare. Being tasty, it can be eaten on its own, but there are several ways to cook and season it in order to make it even tastier. Method 1 of 4: Eating Corn On The Cob
Step 1. Peel the corn on the cob if necessary
If you cooked it unpeeled, you will need to remove it. The removal method should be chosen based on the type of cooking you used. This step is important, especially if you seasoned it before cooking it. In fact, by removing the peel in the wrong way you risk removing the seasoning!
- If the corn on the cob has been boiled, steamed, or microwaved, cut off the bottom by about 3 cm. Grab the cob on the opposite end, which has a tapered shape, and peel off the skin.
- If you've baked or broiled the corn on the cob, untie the string that holds it (or peel off the aluminum foil), then peel off the skin.
