An easy, inexpensive and effective way to remove facial hair.
Steps
Step 1. Find a strong thread
You won't need any special thread. Use white thread so you can better see the hair you removed.
Step 2. Cut them about 50 cm
You don't need great precision for this. Once you get the hang of the technique, the length of the thread can vary depending on how you feel best.
Step 3. Tie the two ends together
A simple knot is enough if it doesn't come undone easily (for example: do you know the first knot you make when tying your shoelaces? Do it 2-3 times with the end of the thread).
Step 4. Now hold the thread with both hands, and twist it about ten times
The twisted part must be in the center.
Step 5. Put the thread between the fingers of both hands
With one take the twisted part by spreading the fingers of one hand and at the same time closing those of the other. If you are doing this correctly, it should appear that the two hands are having a respectful "conversation" with each other. When one hand "speaks" the other will be stationary, and vice versa.
Step 6. Keep trying these movements until you feel comfortable enough doing them
A smaller portion of line is usually easier to maneuver initially.
Step 7. Once you've got your hands on it, try real hair
Try on the legs first, as they are usually easier to spot and reach.
Step 8. Sitting on the bed or in a chair, lean on one leg and decide where to remove the hair
Step 9. Put the thread on the chosen part
Let the twisted part rest on the end of the hair, and let the thread on the other side be on both sides of the hair you want to remove.
Step 10. Now move the twisted part to the other side, making sure it catches the hair as you move
It will take it off the root, because it moves in two directions, back and forth.
Step 11. Have patience
It will take a lot of practice!
Step 12. When you feel ready, try doing the same on the upper part of the lips or some other part of the face that needs to be treated
Step 13. Avoid using this technique on your brows unless you are very prepared
Remember that your brows won't forgive you for mistakes easily, unlike other parts of the body.
Advice
- To avoid some irritation, apply some cream after performing the treatment.
- If you have stubborn hair, try the after shower treatment when it is softer.
- Don't use this technique on your brows until you feel really prepared.
- Wash your face before shaving. Oil, make-up etc. grease the face and hinder the treatment.
- Begin to do the first tests on the legs.
- Applying baby powder to the face helps absorb skin fat. If you have black hair, then it will be even more visible.
- In the beginning, train with shorter portions of thread.
Warnings
- Sensitive skin may become red, or have some small bumps right after treatment. A little ice will suffice as a soothing agent.
- Eyebrows are difficult to style. Use this technique only if you feel comfortable, at your own risk.
