Steps
Method 1 of 2: Go to the Casting
Step 1. Read the rules with the eligibility requirements
If you are not sure if you are eligible, go ahead and apply anyway - you can ask specific questions later if you are contacted by the program to participate.
If you have already appeared in any past edition of the Wheel of Fortune, you are not eligible to participate again. You are also not eligible if you have already appeared on a game / dating / relationship show or reality show in the previous year, or three of those shows in the past decade. Additionally, you will also be discarded if you work or have relationships with anyone who works for Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc., the program's award providers, or any television broadcaster that broadcasts the show
Step 2. Apply online
Visit the Wheel of Fortune website. In the navigation bar below the opening photo, place the mouse pointer on "CONTESTANTS" ("competitors"). A pink drop-down menu will appear with different options. Click on "Be a Contestant".
- The first question will appear, asking you your age range. Click on "Adult", "College Student" or "Teen".
- Fill out the registration form completely and accurately.
Step 3. Submit a video
As an alternative to the module, The Wheel of Fortune started a contest called "Face of the Fan", in which prospective candidates submit a 60-second video to enter an audition. This way, anyone, in any city, can have a chance.
Visit their website for more information. Since one million people audition each year, but only 600 are chosen, it is strongly recommended that you submit the application form if you do not have video equipment
Step 4. Find the Wheelmobile
It is 12 meters long and 4 meters high, and is bright yellow. Travel through cities and along major roads in the heart of America. Thousands of fans fill out the questions and gather in front of the stage which features a traveling version of the famous wheel and riddle board. Questions are drawn at random throughout the event, and people are called to the stage in groups of five to participate in a short interview, play an accelerated spin on the Wheel of Fortune, and win special themed prizes with the game. show.
- The most promising candidates are invited to participate in the final auditions for the show, which are usually held afterwards in the city that hosts the Wheelmobile.
- If you want to be notified when the Wheelmobile will reach your area, you can fill out an online form for this purpose. However, it is stated that it is not possible to contact everyone.
Step 5. You must have the right public image
The program looks for competitors who are visibly able to have fun and remain calm in front of the camera, and who are good winners, but also good losers. You have to be logical and steadfast in calling letters and using strategy.
Generally, the best competitors are those who are lively and with a sense of humor. Of course, maintaining a positive attitude is also helpful. It's about having fun, whether you win or lose
Step 6. Take a good audition
Auditions are often held in hotel ballrooms. The coordinators gather around 70 would-be contestants and create a sort of scaled-down version of the Wheel of Fortune, complete with riddles and a miniature wheel. All participants take turns standing, call letters and solve riddles.
- Then they participate in a five-minute written test, which consists of 16 riddles (which you must complete with the missing letters). Afterwards, the tests are evaluated and the participation awards delivered. Then the coordinators tell some people to go home, while others are allowed to stay and participate in some simulated wheel games (while the coordinators evaluate them). The whole thing takes about two hours.
- Unfortunately, even if you pass the first stage, when you finally get home you still won't know the result. To be contacted, you will have to wait indefinitely - provided you have been selected. Whether or not you are chosen depends both on your test results and on the impression you have given about what kind of competitor you are.

The best way to prepare to compete in the show is to familiarize yourself with the program itself. If you are selected to participate in the show, you must know 100% of the game's structure, its rules, etc. Practice for your turn by trying to guess together with the other competitors and see if you are able to win.
