One of the most difficult challenges for those starting to play Candy Crash is to make enough lives. It starts with 5 lives and, once started, you get a new one every 30 minutes. Anyone who knows the math will know that it is therefore possible to get a full set of lives every 2.5 hours of play. Fans of this game will agree that it's a far too long wait, especially when you've finally figured out how to complete the level you're stuck in.
Don't worry too much. There are a few ways to get extra lives. Two of these are approved by the same Candy Crash team, while one is designed to earn extra lives without having to "beg" for them from your friends.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Buy New Lives
While Candy Crash is a free application, some elements of the game such as boosters and, in fact, extra lives are paid and have already helped the designers to earn a few millions. Here's how to buy lives in Candy Crash.
Step 1. Click on the "More Lives Now" option when the "No More Lives" screen appears
This way you can buy New Lives from Candy Crash using your credit card or other associated payment methods.
Step 2. Click the "$ 0.99" button to purchase
Depending on your mobile platform (iOS or Android), you will be redirected to the corresponding store for approval of the purchase. Remember, this option has a cost.
Method 2 of 3: Ask Friends
Like most "social" games designed to connect with social networks, Candy Crash allows you to ask (read: beg) your friends for extra lives. How does it work?
Step 1. Connect your Facebook account
Asking friends for extra lives is only possible if Candy Crash is connected with their Facebook account. Click on the "Connect" button on the Candy Crash home screen.
Step 2. Allow Candy Crash to post to your friends on your behalf
This will allow the app to contact your friends when you need extra lives, or boosters, but not to update your status. In addition, it will synchronize your scores and you can play Candy Crash on Facebook and see your progress in the same way on your application as well. After giving the permissions to the application you will see the following three screens.
Step 3. Ask your friends for extra lives
Once the connection process between your Facebook account and Candy Crash is finished, you simply need to press the "Ask Friends" button to request extra lives when you need them.
Step 4. Choose friends to ask for help
You will see a page containing the list of your friends on Facebook. Choose who to ask for extra lives. Remember that you can't have more than 5 lives at a time, so it's useless to ask 20 different friends for lives because you can't use all of them. Better to ask a few friends, each time different, rather than spam their accounts every day.
Method 3 of 3: Unlimited Lives in Candy Crash
Let's be clear. This is the easiest, cheapest and fastest way to get new lives. All Candy Crash players should know this little trick to get a full set of lives in under a minute. NOTE: The screenshots refer to iOS7, but the trick works for all platforms.
Step 1. Navigate your device menu:
Setting> General> Date & Time. The trick is to move your device's clock forward to get free lives, and then reset the time (this is important) before you start playing.
Step 2. Move the time on your device a few hours forward
To do this, the automatic clock update function must be disabled. At this point it is easier to change the day or month than to change the hour counter. In this example we have made sure to move the date one day forward.
Step 3. Return to the game
You will see that you have obtained a complete new set of lives. Don't start playing yet. Go back to Settings> General> Date & Time settings and reactivate the automatic clock update function which will automatically reset the exact date and time.
Advice
Try to remember which of your friends have asked you for extra lives and have them return the favor. They are probably regular players, and it will be easier for them to respond to your requests
Warnings
- You can only buy or ask friends for extra lives if you are connected to the internet.
- If you move the clock back and forth many times (if you are not using the automatic settings) you may experience a delay of a few minutes in the time. You can work around this by simply resetting the automatic update before you start playing.
- If you don't reset the correct time before restarting the game, the application will penalize you. To avoid this, just update the time again every time before starting to play again.
