It can be boring having to wait 30 minutes to get an additional life in Candy Crush Saga. Fortunately, there are ways to get around this time limit without having to shell out money to purchase the additional items offered by the game. This article explains how to have unlimited lives on Android and iOS devices. If you have a computer that can log into Facebook, you can use it to get an extra life for free.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Using Smartphones and Tablets
Step 1. Use all the lives you have left
Play Candy Crush until you finish all the lives you have available. While you are playing, you can find out how many lives you have left by looking at the number shown at the top of the screen next to the heart icon.
Step 2. Close the Candy Crush Saga app
After running out of all lives close the app completely. Follow these instructions based on your device:
- If you are using an iPhone or iPad, slide your finger across the screen up from the bottom. If you're using an Android device, tap the square icon or physical device button that has two overlapping squares on it. If you are using a Samsung device, tap the icon with three vertical lines. You will see a list of all apps running in the background.
- Scroll the list to the right until you see the Candy Crush Saga app window.
- At this point, slide the Candy Crush Saga app upwards. The program window will disappear from view indicating that the application has been closed completely.
Step 3. Change the time set on the device
Setting a future time compared to the current one will cause the Candy Crush Saga app to think that some time has already passed and to assign you new lives. Use the following instructions to move the device's system clock forward by 3 hours:
- iOS: Launch the Settings app and select the item General. At this point tap on the option Date and time. Disable the "Automatic" slider by moving it to the left, then tap the current time. Now set the clock forward 3 hours by turning the hour slider.
- Android: Launch the app Settings placed on the Home of the device or press the Menu button and choose the "Settings" option. Touch the magnifying glass icon, type the keywords "date and time" in the search bar that appeared and select the item Date and time. Disable the "Automatic date and time" slider by moving it to the left, then select the option Set up now. Move the system clock forward 3 hours by adjusting the hour display. At this point, press the button end.
Step 4. Wait a couple of minutes
Wait a few minutes before launching the Candy Crush Saga app.
Step 5. Restart Candy Crush Saga
Tap the program icon located on the Home or in the "Applications" panel. Don't start playing for now, just check that you have been credited with the new additional lives. The number of lives you have available is displayed at the top of the screen within the level selection screen.
Step 6. Reset the correct time
Go to your device's "Settings" menu and turn on the "Automatic" slider on iPhone and iPad or "Automatic date and time" on Android.
Step 7. Play Candy Crush Saga
Now that the number of lives has been reset you can start playing again. If you run out of lives at your disposal again, you will simply have to repeat the procedure described in this method to obtain more.
Note: if you have to wait a long time before getting extra lives, it means that you haven't waited long enough before restarting the app as described in step 3. In this case you will have to repeat the entire procedure to fix the problem
Method 2 of 2: Get Extra Life on Computer
Step 1. Play Candy Crush Saga until you have only one life left
This trick only works if you only have one life, so pay attention to this detail as you play.
By playing the version of Candy Crush Saga on Facebook it is not possible to obtain an unlimited number of lives, as the application runs on a central server and not locally on the computer. For this reason, any website that claims to have unlimited lives for this version of the game is deceptive
Step 2. Open a new browser tab
When you only have one life left, access the Candy Crush page using a new browser tab.
Step 3. Launch Candy Crush Saga within the new browser tab
Log in to Facebook from the new tab and click on the "Candy Crush Saga" item visible in the navigation bar on the left side of the page. Don't start playing. Simply select the level you wish to tackle.
Step 4. Resume playing Candy Crush Saga in the first browser tab you opened
If you lose your last life in the game you are playing in the first tab of the browser, you will be able to switch to the second tab and get an extra life. When you've lost your last life, immediately close your current browser tab, before the game goes game over, and launch Candy Crush Saga on Facebook in a new tab. You can continue to perform this procedure as long as you have only one life available in the game.
