This guide will tell you how to meet your Sims' needs. You will be able to do this using a trick, both on the desktop version and on the console version.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Sims 4: Desktop
Step 1. Open the cheat console
Press Ctrl + ⇧ Shift + C on a Windows computer or ⌘ Command + ⇧ Shift + C on a Mac. A box should appear at the top of the screen.
Step 2. Activate the cheats
To do this, type testingcheats on and press Enter. You will receive the confirmation message Cheats enabled on the left side of the screen.
Step 3. Choose a Sim
Look for the Sim you want to increase at least one need.
Step 4. Check the Sim's Needs
Select your Sim to view their Needs and take note of any that are too low.
Step 5. Meet the Sim's Needs
Once you have determined which needs need to be met, open the cheat console again, then type fillmotive motive_ need - making sure to replace need with the English name of one of the needs - and hit Enter.
For example, to fill the bar Sociability of your Sim you will have to type fillmotive motive_social
Step 6. Satisfy all of your Sim's needs at once
If you want to satisfy more than one need, you can use makeup Make you happy:
- Hold ⇧ Shift and click on a Sim.
- Click on Make up a need among the options that will appear.
- Click on Make you happy.
Step 7. Satisfy the needs of the whole scenario
If you want to set each Sim's needs to the max, you can do this using your Sim's mailbox:
- Go to the mailbox.
- Hold ⇧ Shift and click on the cassette.
- Click on Change needs.
- Click on Meet the needs (scenario).
Step 8. Remember to meet your Sims' needs periodically
Your Sims' need level will drop regularly, so you'll need to use the cheat again, once in a while, to make sure the bars are always full.
Method 2 of 4: Sims 4: Console
Step 1. Open the cheat console
Press the buttons at the same time TO And B. (Xbox One) or X and OR (PlayStation 4). A text box will appear.
You may have to press all together RT, RB, LT, And LB (or R1, R2, L1, And L2 on PS4)
Step 2. Activate the cheats
Type testingcheats true in the text box, then hit the confirm button.
Step 3. Select OK when the message appears
In this way you will confirm the activation of the tricks.
Step 4. Choose a Sim
Look for the Sim you want to increase at least one need.
Step 5. Open the cheat menu
Hover over the Sim to select it, then press TO And B. (Xbox One) or X And OR (PS4) to open the cheat menu. Several options should appear.
Step 6. Select Make Up a Need
It is found in the menu.
Step 7. Select Make Happy
In this way you will bring all the needs of the selected Sim to 100%.
Step 8. Satisfy the needs of the whole scenario
If you want to set each Sim's needs to the max, you can do this using your Sim's mailbox:
- Go to the mailbox and select it.
- Awards TO And B. or X And OR.
- Select Change needs.
- Select Satisfy needs (scenario).
Step 9. Remember to meet your Sims' needs periodically
Your Sims' needs level will drop regularly, so you'll need to use the cheat again, once in a while, to make sure the bars are always full.
Method 3 of 4: Sims 2 and 3: Drag Method
Step 1. Press Ctrl + ⇧ Shift + C
This will open the cheat menu.
Step 2. Activate testingcheats
Depending on the game you own, you will need to activate the command in a different way:

Sims 2:
boolprop testingcheatsenabled true
Step 3. Press Enter
Step 4. Go to the needs panel of the Sim you wish to take action on
Step 5. Drag the need bar until it is full

Method 4 of 4: Sims 2: Maxmotives makeup
For this trick to work, you must own the Nightlife or Funky Business expansions.
Step 1. Open the cheat panel with Ctrl + ⇧ Shift + C
Step 2. Type
maxmotives
.
Hit enter.
Step 3. Check Your Sim's Needs
All bars (except for the Environment one) should fill up instantly.
