Adding stickers, GIFs and emojis to images just got easier with the most popular social networking applications. In addition to using apps like Instagram and Snapchat, you can employ many other online programs and services that help edit photos. This article explains how to add emojis and stickers to photos with an online photo editing tool called Editor by Photo Lab, with an application called Adobe Photoshop Express, or using popular image sharing platforms.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Add Emoji to Instagram Pictures
Step 1. Open Instagram
The icon of this application depicts a colored camera. You can find it on the Home screen, in the application list or by searching for it by name.
Step 2. Take a picture for your story
Step 3. Tap on the square smiley face icon
Once the photo has been taken, this icon will appear at the top right of the screen. This will open the list of all the stickers that you can add to the image, including all the emojis available.

Step 4. Click on an emoji or sticker
This way it will be pasted to the image. You can drag it onto the photo and place it wherever you want. You can also change its size. To enlarge it, pinch it by spreading two fingers apart on the screen. To make it smaller, pinch it by closing your fingers instead.
Method 2 of 4: Add Emoji to Photos on Snapchat
Step 1. Open Snapchat
The icon of this application features a white ghost on a yellow background. You can find it on the Home screen, in the application list or by searching for it by name.
Step 2. Take a photo
You can take it on the main screen or in the chat. You can also share one from your camera roll or gallery
Step 3. Click on the post-it icon
Once you have taken the photo, you will see this icon at the top right of the screen. This will open a page where you can select the sticker you prefer.
Step 4. Tap the smiley face icon
It is the last icon in the stickers menu, where you can also find generic Instagram stickers, those associated with Bitmoji and those used recently.
Step 5. Tap on an emoji to add it to the image
- Pinching it by spreading two fingers on the screen will allow you to enlarge it. If you want to make it smaller, pinch it by closing your fingers.
- You can drag it onto the photo and place it wherever you want.
Method 3 of 4: Using a Photo Editing Application
Step 1. Open the Google Play Store
or the App Store
You can find this application on the Home screen, in the list of apps or by searching for it by name.
- If you have opened the Google Play Store, the main screen will appear and you will be shown lists of applications based on your activities.
- If you've opened the App Store, you'll see a list of recommended and trending apps.
Step 2. Type "Adobe Photoshop Express"
The search box is located at the top of the Google Play Store screen.

Tap Search
if you use the App Store. This option is located at the bottom of the screen. This will open the search page.
- Type "Adobe Photoshop Express" in the search bar.
- The creator of the application is Adobe.
Step 3. Tap the green Install button or the blue button Get.
The "Adobe Photoshop Express" icon will be added to your Home screen and your app list
Step 4. Open Adobe Photoshop Express
The icon features the blue letters "P" and "S" in the center of a diamond on a black background. You can find it on the Home screen, in the application list or by searching for it by name.
Step 5. Tap Next during the tutorial
Step 6. Log in
You can use your Google account, Facebook or an Adobe ID.
After logging in and giving the necessary permissions, you will see all your photos
Step 7. Tap the photo you want to edit
Step 8. Look for the stickers menu
The icon looks like a heart inside a circle.
- You can do this by dragging a finger on the menu located below the image. Proceed from the right side of the screen to the left. Drag your finger until you find the heart icon inside a circle. You'll see a selection of filters and fixes that you can use to edit the image. In the menu you will also find the option to add text to the photo.
- At the top of the menu you will see sticker categories, such as "Flowers", "Decorate", "Party" and "Adventure".
- By dragging your finger on the menu you will see additional categories of stickers.
Step 9. Tap a category
All the stickers inside it will be loaded. You can slide your finger on the stickers to see more.
Step 10. Tap a sticker
It will appear on the photo.
- To make it bigger, pinch the adhesive on the corners with two fingers apart. To make it smaller, pinch it by closing your fingers.
- The circle at the bottom left of the sticker allows you to rotate it.
- The "X" located at the top right of the sticker allows you to delete it.
Method 4 of 4: Edit an Image on a Computer
Step 1. Open a browser
Chrome and Firefox are among the most used.
Step 2. Visit
Step 3. Click on Get Started
The editor will load and you will be prompted to add a photo or select one of the sample images.
Step 4. Click on the hat and mustache icon
This button is located on the left. Hovering the mouse cursor over the icon will show the "Stickers" label. A scrolling menu will open from the left side of the screen with a long list of stickers.
Step 5. Click on a sticker
It will appear on the photo.
- You can change the position of the sticker by dragging it where you want.
- You can change the angle of the sticker by clicking on the circle at the bottom right and dragging the image on the screen.
- You can change the size of the sticker by dragging the circular button on the slider located in the box next to the sticker.
Step 6. Click on Save and Share
Once you've finished adding stickers and emojis to the image, you can share it with your friends on Facebook or Twitter, or save it directly to your computer.
