In the cyber world there are many applications dedicated to sharing photos, but one reigns supreme: Instagram. One of the reasons for its wide success is the ease and immediacy with which one can comment. The system of this application allows anyone to write comments and add a "Like" to your images. Unfortunately, comments sometimes get out of hand. Thanks to this tutorial you will learn how to add comments to your favorite photos and delete the ones you don't like.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Comment from the Application
Step 1. Open the Instagram application
Make sure you have entered your account credentials; as soon as it is launched, the application will take you to the notification page.
Step 2. Browse the photos you want to comment on
You can add comments to both your own images and those of other users you follow. To open a photo, tap it.
Step 3. Click on the "Comment" button
This is located below the image, next to the "Like" icon. At this point a dialog box will open and the keyboard of the device will be activated, so you can type in the comment.
Step 4. Write your considerations
When you are satisfied, tap the green "Submit" button. At this point your comment has been added to the list.
Part 2 of 3: Deleting a Comment from the Application
Step 1. Browse the photos you commented on
You can only delete your own comments on other users' images, or other people's comments on your photos.
Step 2. Swipe left on your comment
A red icon with a trash can will appear just to the right of your words. Tap the trash can to delete the comment.
Step 3. Consider reporting the sentence
If the comment is offensive or could be considered spam, then you can report it, as well as delete it. This feature is very useful for preventing harassing people from commenting on your images. Tap the "Cancel and report abuse" button to notify the comment to the Instagram control center. If, on the other hand, you just want to delete the text, tap the "Delete" button.
When you delete your comments, you will only have the "Delete" function available
Part 3 of 3: Adding and Deleting Comments from the Web
Step 1. Enter your Instagram account credentials
Even if the web version does not allow access to many functions, it is still possible to comment on the photographs and delete unwanted considerations.
Step 2. Comment on an image
Find the photograph that interests you; it might be in the Notifications section, or it might be an image you took. If you have decided to comment on a photo present in the notifications, then you can do it directly in the field located below the image itself. If you want to add a comment to other people's photographs, click on the image to open it and then write your comments in the field to the right of the shot.
Step 3. Delete a comment
Open the photograph from which you want to delete the comment; you can only do this if it is your picture or comment.
- When you have found the comment you want to delete, move the mouse cursor over it. An icon with an "X" will appear in the upper right corner of the caption field.
- Click on the "X" icon. At this point, a menu with the "Delete" function will appear, which you can select to delete the comment.
Advice
- To visit other users' profiles by browsing the Instagram web page, simply replace your username in the address bar with their username. With this method you can also follow new users; you can also click directly on the usernames on the comments page and you will be directly directed to the corresponding profile.
- If you find that a particular user often comments on your photos with "spam", then you can report their comments because it could be a spambot.
- When writing your comments you can use the format "@username" to cite a particular user. You can even create hashtags, as a pleasant diversion for those looking at your photographs.
- Sometimes you may not be able to delete a comment. In this case, log out of Instagram and clear the cache of the device you are using. At this point you can re-enter your credentials on the site, the problem should be solved.
- If you want to change a caption, then the only way to do it is to write a new one.

Warnings
- Do not report a good comment, otherwise, if you continue to do so even after a few warnings, action may be taken against you.
- Always write polite comments and do not offend anyone, otherwise your posts may be deleted.
