This article explains how to delete your photos from an Instagram account using a computer. You can perform this procedure on both Windows and Mac platforms using the Bluestacks Android emulator or by accessing the mobile version of Instagram, or by using the "Developer Tools" feature of Google Chrome. However, it is also possible to use the Instagram app for Windows 10 directly. Unfortunately, it is not possible to delete a multiple selection of images using any of the tools that give access to the Instagram platform, therefore all the web services and apps that claim to be able to. do most likely are a scam.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Using Bluestacks
Step 1. Understand what this method allows
Using the software emulator of Android devices called Bluestacks you will be able to delete the photos on your account, but only by deleting them one at a time.
Unfortunately, to date there is no procedure that allows you to simultaneously delete a multiple selection of images from an Instagram account, since the administrators of the social network have prevented the use of any extension, application or web service created for this purpose
Step 2. Install the Bluestacks program on your computer
Paste the URL https://www.bluestacks.com/ into the address bar of your computer browser, choose the Italian language from the drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the page, then click the green button Download Bluestacks. At the end of the download, double-click on the program installation file and follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
If you are using a Mac you may need to manually authorize the installation before the program is actually installed on your computer
Step 3. Download the APK file of the Instagram app
The Bluestacks emulator does not allow you to install the Instagram app directly from the Google Play Store, so you will have to manually download the installation APK file and install the app by following these instructions:
- Paste this URL https://apkpure.com/instagram/com.instagram.android into your computer's browser address bar.
- Click on the button APK Download.
- Wait for the APK file to download to your computer.
Step 4. Launch the Bluestacks emulator
Double-click the program icon, which has 4 squares stacked on top of each other in green, yellow, red and blue colors.
Step 5. Click on the Installed apps item
It is located in the upper left of the Bluestacks program window.
Step 6. Click the Install apk option
It is located at the bottom right of the "Installed Apps" screen.
Step 7. Select the Instagram APK file
Navigate to the folder where you stored it, then click it with the mouse to select it.
Step 8. Click the Open button
It is located in the lower right corner of the window. The Instagram application for Android devices will be installed inside Bluestacks.
Step 9. Launch the Instagram app
Click the corresponding icon featuring a multicolored stylized camera.
If you are asked to restart Bluestacks using a different graphics card than the one you are using, click on the button Restart and wait for the program to complete the reboot procedure before continuing.
Step 10. Click the Login option
This is a blue button located in the center of the main screen of the Instagram app.
Step 11. Provide login credentials to your Instagram account
Click the "Phone number, email or username" text field and type your Instagram username (or email address or phone number associated with your profile). At this point click the "Password" text field and type the security password, then click on the button Log in.
Step 12. Verify your account if required
If you need to verify your account to continue, please follow these instructions:
- Select one of the verification methods (SMS or email).
- Click the link Send security code.
- Retrieve the 6-digit verification code you received via SMS or email.
- Enter it in the appropriate field.
- Click the button Send.
Step 13. Click the profile icon
It is located in the lower right corner of the Bluestacks window. Your Instagram profile page will be displayed.
Step 14. Click a photo
This is the image posted on your Instagram account that you want to delete. The image will be displayed in full screen.
Step 15. Click on the ⋮ button
It is placed in the upper right corner of the selected photo. A drop-down menu will appear.
Step 16. Click Delete
It is one of the options listed in the pop-up menu that appeared.
Step 17. Click the Delete button when prompted
In this way the chosen image will be deleted from your Instagram profile.
Repeat the given steps to delete as many photos as you want
Method 2 of 3: Using Google Chrome
Step 1. Understand what this method allows
Using this method you will be able to delete the photos posted on your Instagram account, but only by deleting them one at a time.
Unfortunately, to date there is no procedure that allows you to simultaneously delete a multiple selection of images from an Instagram account, since the administrators of the social network have prevented the use of any extension, application or web service created for this purpose
Step 2. Open a Google Chrome window to browse incognito
Start Google Chrome, if you haven't already, click the icon ⋮ located in the upper right corner of the program window and click the option New incognito window present in the drop-down menu that appeared.
Alternatively you can press the key combination Ctrl + ⇧ Shift + N (on Windows) or ⌘ Command + ⇧ Shift + N (on Mac)
Step 3. Open the "Developer Tools" panel
Select an empty spot on the page with the right mouse button then click the item Inspect from the drop-down menu that will appear. The "Developer Tools" panel will appear on the right side of the Chrome window.
If you are using a one-button mouse, press the right side of the device or press the single button using two fingers. If you are using a computer with a trackpad instead of a mouse, tap it using two fingers or press the lower right side
Step 4. Click the "Toggle device toolbar" icon
It represents a small smartphone and a tablet and is placed in the upper left corner of the "Developer Tools" box. The indicated icon will turn blue and the version of the Instagram website for mobile devices will be displayed in the Chrome window.
If the indicated icon is already blue, it means that the display mode intended for mobile devices is already active
Step 5. Log into the Instagram website
Click the Chrome address bar at the top of the window, replace the text with the URL https://www.instagram.com/ and press the Enter key.
Step 6. Log in to Instagram
Click the link Log in located at the bottom of the page, provide your username (or email address or phone number) and security password and click on the button Log in.
Step 7. Click the profile icon
It features a stylized human silhouette and is placed at the top right of the Instagram page.
Step 8. Select a photo
Find the image posted on your Instagram account that you want to delete, then click it with the mouse. The image will be displayed in full screen.
Step 9. Click on the ⋯ button
It is located in the upper right corner of the image. A pop-up window will appear.
Step 10. Click Delete
It is one of the options listed in the pop-up window that appeared.
Step 11. Click the Delete button when prompted
In this way the chosen image will be deleted from your Instagram profile. The photo will not be removed from the current window, but by updating the page or logging into Instagram through the app it will no longer be visible.
To close the window showing the photo you just deleted, you need to click your profile icon again
Step 12. Repeat the steps described for each of the images you want to delete from the Instagram account
You will have to open all the photos you want to delete one at a time, click on the relevant button ⋯, click the item twice Delete and close the image window by clicking the profile icon.
Method 3 of 3: Use the Windows 10 App
Step 1. Understand what this method allows
Using this method you will be able to delete the photos posted on your Instagram account, but only by deleting them one at a time.

Step 2. Download and install the Instagram app for Windows
If you have already done so, skip this step, otherwise follow these instructions:

Access the menu Start clicking the icon
- Type in the keyword store.

Click the app Store characterized by this icon
Microsoft Store app icon v3 - Click the search bar Search for.
- Type in the keyword instagram.
- Click the option Instagram appeared in the list of results.
- Click on the button Get.
Step 3. Access the "Start" menu by clicking the icon
It features the Windows logo and is located in the lower left corner of the desktop.
Step 4. Type the keyword instagram into the "Start" menu
In this way the Instagram app will be searched inside the computer.
Step 5. Click the Instagram icon
It should have appeared at the top of the "Start" menu. The Instagram login page will be displayed.
Step 6. Log in to Instagram
Click the link Log in located at the bottom of the page, provide your username (or email address or phone number) and security password and click on the button Log in.
Skip this step if you have already logged in before
Step 7. Click the profile icon
It features a stylized human silhouette and is located at the bottom right of the app window. The main page of your Instagram profile will be displayed.
Step 8. Select a photo
Find the image posted on your Instagram account that you want to delete, then click it with the mouse. The image will be displayed in full screen.
Step 9. Click on the ⋯ button
It is located in the upper right corner of the image. A pop-up window will appear at the bottom of the page.
Step 10. Click Delete
It is one of the options listed in the menu that appeared.
Step 11. Click the Delete button when prompted
In this way the chosen image will be deleted from your Instagram profile and you will be redirected to the main profile page.
Step 12. Repeat the above steps for all the images you want to delete
Unfortunately it is not possible to delete multiple photos at the same time, but you can quickly delete them one at a time by following the steps described above.
