Passing the driving test is like passing any other test. Study, get enough sleep the night before and concentrate well during the exam.
Steps
Step 1. Get a copy of the guide manual
This book contains all the information you need to take the exam. It's a fairly thick book (more than 75 pages of facts, laws, fines and restrictions? No thanks) but it might be the only way to get all the information you need.
Step 2. Take the driving course
It is not mandatory, however these cover much of the material covered by the book. Furthermore, these topics will be treated in an interactive and interesting way. However, if your budget does not allow these studies, it will be enough to read the theoretical manual to obtain the same results.
Step 3. Be prepared
Choose a day to take the exam. Get a good night's sleep the night before. Eat a good breakfast. To eliminate stress, get all the necessary documents in advance. The necessary documents change based on where you live. Also, when you choose the time for the test make it unusual (in the morning during working hours for example) so that there will be fewer people at the motorization. So you will have to wait less with less stress.
Step 4. Stay calm
While you wait, breathe deeply. Remember that you have studied these topics. You are prepared even if you don't feel like it. Be confident and calm. It also serves to make things easier for DMV employees and to have more relaxed relationships with them (imagine having to deal with hundreds of stressed-out students every day).
Step 5. Take the exam
If there are any questions you are unsure about, please leave them for last. Don't be in a hurry! Time limits are plentiful so it's better to think carefully about the answers than to rush unnecessarily to finish early. Also, make sure you understand the questions well. The hardest thing about questions is to understand them well.
Advice
- Do not take the exam if you are not ready. Often people just want to try to get rid of it quickly. Do not do it. You will have to pay a fee every time you take the exam, so if you don't pass it next time you will be more anxious and it will cost you more.
- Take online tests! There is a great application called DMV Genius that helps you prepare for the exam at no extra cost.
- Know what mistakes are allowed. There are typically 25 questions, and you can only make 2 or 3 mistakes. You could try to take the exam without having studied, but why take the risk?
