You thought starting a car was easy, but then you came across a BMW with Comfort Access system. Don't worry - once you learn how to light one, it will be easy. Here are the instructions on how to do it.
Steps
Step 1. Open your BMW by pressing the top button on the Comfort Access remote control
The car will "beep" two or three times, depending on the model.
Step 2. When the doors unlock, the car is open
Pull the driver's door handle to open it.
Step 3. Insert the Comfort Access key into the dashboard in a vertical position (with the gray buttons facing upwards), until all the lights are on
Step 4. With your foot on the brake, press the Start / Stop button once to turn the car on
Step 5. To turn off the machine, press the Start / Stop button once
Step 6. Press the Comfort Access remote control and pull to remove it
Step 7. Press the close button (BMW symbol) once to close the car
Advice
- DO NOT hold the Start / Stop button down, otherwise you will end up erasing the key codes and have to ask the dealer to reset them.
- DO NOT lock the BMW with you or other passengers inside. You or they will activate the motion sensors, setting off the alarm.
- DO NOT pull off the Comfort Access remote directly to remove it, otherwise you will damage it.
- DO NOT put your hand on the handle before the safety clicks, or you will have to start the process all over again.
