If the toilet is clogged and you don't have a plunger, don't panic! You can use different products and household items to gush it up and make it work again.
Steps
Method 1 of 4: Using the Mop
Step 1. Cover the mop head with a plastic bag
Put the bag on the end and tie it or secure it with a rubber band.
Step 2. Immerse the mop in the toilet
Move it vigorously, as you would a normal plunger.
Step 3. Continue pushing the scrub brush until the toilet flushes
You will likely have to sink it several times for several minutes before this method works. When the toilet is completely free, throw away the plastic bag attached to the end of the mop.
Method 2 of 4: Unclog the toilet with a hanger
Step 1. Fold a metal hanger to form a curve
If you can, use a plastic-coated metal one. This way it won't scratch the porcelain. If not, cover it with masking tape.
Step 2. Push the hanger into the toilet duct and try to clear the passage
Don't exert too much force. Avoid scratching the porcelain.
Step 3. Continue to slide the hanger into the toilet duct until it is completely free
It may take a few minutes for the toilet to become unclogged. Once gushed, throw away the hanger or clean it thoroughly.
Method 3 of 4: Using the Toilet Brush
Step 1. Cover the end of the toilet brush with a plastic bag
Wrap it around your head and tie it, or use a rubber band to secure it.
Step 2. Use the end of the toilet brush to flush the toilet
Move it as you would a normal plunger.
Step 3. Continue to sink it until the toilet is unclogged
It will probably take you a few minutes to fix the problem. Once you have gushed it completely, remove the plastic bag at the end and throw it away.
Method 4 of 4: Use Vinegar and Sodium Bicarbonate
Step 1. Mix 1 part baking soda and 1 part vinegar in a large container
Together they will be miraculous. Once mixed, you will get a solution that will start bubbling.
Step 2. Pour it into the clogged toilet
The bubbly blend will help you break down anything that clogs it.
Step 3. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then flush the toilet
After 5-10 minutes you can press the water button as normal. If the toilet is still clogged, make some more baking soda and vinegar solution, pour it in, and let it sit longer.
