At some point in life, everyone happens to lose someone they love. It can be a terrible time and everyone reacts differently to such a situation. It's hard to overcome a loss, but it's certainly not impossible.
Steps
Step 1. Allow yourself to be sad in any way you like
There are no two people who react the same way and there are no circumstances that are equal to each other.
Step 2. There are certain stages that we all go through during the first few days, weeks and months
- You can feel alone, as if no one can understand you. This is normal and you need to remember that other people have felt the way you do now. You are not alone.
-
You may be trying to deny it all, thinking that something like this can't really have happened and that it must be a bad dream. The sooner you accept that this is real, the sooner you can overcome your pain.
Step 3. Know that it will get better
The first year will be the hardest, because you will have to experience the first holidays, your birthday and other anniversaries without the person you have lost.
Step 4. Do something that comforts you
For some, it is enough to listen to good music; for others, sitting quietly is the only thing they can do.
