Below is a very short conversation in Spanish. It will be spoken, translated and explained.
Steps
Step 1. Hello
This can be said in many ways. The basic one is "Hola!" (Ola), which you've probably heard before. While this is simple and short, you could use longer words to spice up the greeting and sound more polite. Try using "Buenos dias!" (Buenos dias), which means "Good morning!". Depending on the time of day you can also use "Buenas tardes!" (Buenas tardes), which means "Good afternoon!".
Step 2. What is your name?
This is usually called "Como te llamas" (Como te iamas).
Step 3. My name is _
People will answer the previous question using "Me llamo _". In the blank spaces you will need to put your name.
Step 4. Nice to meet you
This is said using "Iguale!" (Similarly). Or someone might say “Mucho gusto” (Mucio gusto), or “El gusto es mio” (El gusto es mio). The first means "Nice to meet you too", and the following means "The pleasure is mine".
Step 5. Where are you from?
Someone will usually ask this with "De Donde eres?" (De donde eres).
Step 6. I'm from _
You or the other person will answer the previous question with "Yo soy de _" (I soi de). In the blank you will enter your country. "Italy" is the same way in Spanish.
Step 7. How are you doing?
This is asked by saying "Como estas" (Como estas).
Step 8. Yo estoy_
There are various possible answers to this question. Use "Yo estoy" (I'm _). The options for the empty space are: "bien" (bien), which means well, "feliz" (felis), which means happy, "cansado" (cansado), which means tired, and "enfermo" (enfermo), which means sick.
Step 9. How old are you?
You can ask this by saying "Cuantos años tienes ?, which is pronounced" Quantos agnos tienes ".
Step 10. _
You will answer the question with a number, of course. You can look up the pronunciation of numbers in Spanish online.
Step 11. When is your birthday?
You can ask by saying “Cuando es tu cumpleaños” (Cuando es tu compleagnos).
Step 12. It's _. You could say your birthday by answering "Es el _ de _" (es el de)
The first blank would be the date, such as two (dos), thirty-one (treinta y uno) or nineteen (diecinueve). The second blank would be the month, such as July (julio), August (August), or March (March).
Step 13. Goodbye
Most people know how to say "Goodbye" in Spanish. "Adios!". If it is evening or night, say "Buenas noches!", Which means "Goodnight!" (Pronounced buenas noces).
Step 14. Without using the guide above, write the translation of the following conversation between Roberto and Maria
