Step 1. Receive the item you ordered on Amazon at your home

Then visit the Amazon page and log in by entering your credentials.

Step 2. Find the page link that allows you to leave a comment to the seller

Open the "My Account" section on the Settings page, look for the section identified as "My Orders" (usually at the top of the screen); look for menu extension arrows under "More Actions" and select the "Leave Seller Feedback" link. In some cases, you may need to access the "Personalization" section located within "Community".

Step 3. Find the order for which you want to leave your opinion

The page should contain basic information about the product you are filling out feedback for.

Step 4. Move the mouse cursor over the stars and click on the one that best identifies your opinion on the completed transaction

One star indicates that you are not satisfied, while five indicates that you are very satisfied.

Step 5. Add any comments in the appropriate text box

Make sure that they reflect the management of the order in its entirety: information on the status of the package, on the speed of delivery and on the quality of the product. These comments must agree with the star rating you selected above, otherwise you may confuse the seller.

Step 6. Answer the optional questions for some or all of the orders you have received

These are closed-ended questions (yes / no) regarding the accuracy of delivery, the accuracy and truthfulness of the description of the goods by the seller, the quality of the service offered by the seller (if you have chosen to buy through Amazon). Amazon is unable to help you if you have placed your order differently, should you need to file a complaint. You can find these questions above the comment field for feedback and below that for the star rating system.

  • If you do not receive your package on the requested date, please contact the seller first to make sure the package has not been lost at some stage in the shipping process. Most sellers can track packages and help you locate them; you should contact the seller to solve any little unexpected before leaving negative feedback.
  • If the good does not correspond (in quality or quantity) to the description, contact the seller so that he can remedy it. While Amazon states that independent sellers must maintain the same level of service as Amazon itself, each retailer can make their own policy on how long to handle the issue, as long as these regulations do not violate Amazon's.

Step 7. Click on the "Submit" button

Step 8. After completing all the feedback sections and writing your comments, click "Done"

At this point, you are ready to go back to the main page and order something else.

Advice

  • It is always worth leaving a comment, regardless of whether it is positive or negative.
  • If your comment is similar or virtually identical to what you have left for the same seller in the past, don't score too differently.
  • Remember that seller feedback is different from product review, although the concepts are quite similar.
