In Minecraft, the bucket is used to carry liquids, especially lava, water and milk.
Steps
Part 1 of 3: Obtaining Iron Ingots
Step 1. Find some raw iron
Dig it with a stone, iron or diamond pickaxe.
Step 2. Melt the raw iron in the furnace
You will need 3 ingots.
Part 2 of 3: Building the Bucket
Step 1. Open the creation table
Step 2. Place the three iron ingots in the spaces on the crafting table
They will need to be arranged in a "V" shape, so use one of these arrangements:
- 2 iron ingots in the lateral central squares and one in the lower central square;
- 2 iron ingots in the two highest lateral squares and one in the central square.
Step 3. Build the bucket
Click while holding down Shift or drag the bucket into your inventory.
Part 3 of 3: Using a Bucket
Step 1. Water:
you can find water in ponds, rivers, lakes, oceans, etc. Right click on it with the bucket in hand to fill it. Water is the only liquid you can pour without causing damage.
Step 2. Wash:
you can find lava in underground lava pools. You will rarely find it even on the surface. Right-click on it with the empty bucket in hand to fill it. Be careful not to fall into the lava when you pick it up. Also be careful not to spill the lava bucket, you could set your house on fire (and kill your character).
Step 3. Milk:
right click on a cow. It is the only liquid that cannot be poured into the unmodified version of the game. You can use it to make a cake or you can drink it to get rid of the effects of the potions (positive or negative, depending on the type of potion).
Advice
- Empty buckets will stack in inventory; buckets filled with liquid no.
- Use a bucket to create an air pocket when you are underwater. Right click with an empty bucket in hand and your character will form a temporary air pocket around the head. This bag will remain until the oxygen bar is regenerated. You can use this trick repeatedly if there is a block near you; empty the bucket on the block with a right click, then breathe again. Keep using this technique to stay underwater for as long as you need.
