Does your dryer give off an unpleasant burning smell when running? It is important to fix the problem as quickly as possible and make sure there is no fire hazard.
Steps
Step 1. Check the exhaust air filter
The filter should be cleaned at the end of each drying to remove all tissue residues that are captured.
Step 2. Check the inside of the dryer drum
If present, fabric residues, dust, fluff, etc. they may be the cause of the burning smell perceived when the machine is running, which could be transferred to clothing during the drying process. This type of problem occurs more frequently in the case of a gas dryer.
Step 3. Check the hot air exhaust duct
Is it clean and free or is it blocked?
Step 4. Check the drive belt and pulleys of the electric motor
It is important that all moving parts are properly lubricated.
If necessary, replace or have the drive belt replaced
Step 5. Contact a qualified technician to have the electrical parts of the machine checked
