Tracing paper is useful for drawing, sewing, crafting, and planning. If you find yourself not having tracing paper on hand when you need it, try making it yourself starting with some simple ingredients that you will find in the kitchen or in the cupboard.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Oil
It is an old-fashioned technique that dates back to the 1880s.

Step 1. Get a container large enough to hold the paper

Step 2. Put some oil in the container

Step 3. Try not to get creases in the paper

Step 4. Dip the paper into the container

Step 5. Wait until the paper is completely saturated and then remove it from the container

Step 6. Spread it out on a dry surface such as a table and quickly wipe off the excess oil, otherwise the paper will be stained
Method 2 of 2: Clay

Step 1. Get a sheet of paper to turn into tracing paper

Step 2. Use clay
Roll it out using a rolling pin or just your hands.

Step 3. Spread the clay over the paper
Make sure that the paper is entirely covered in clay.

Step 4. Leave everything to rest for a couple of hours

Step 5. Gently remove the clay
You will have obtained some tracing paper.
