Advice

  • In a low-detailed drawing, it is easier to coat with graphite only the areas that need to be transferred to another surface.
  • You will probably have to sharpen the pencil very often.
  • It is preferable to place the sheet on a solid surface, to be able to secure it with adhesive tape. It is also advisable to tape the tracing paper with adhesive tape, to prevent it from slipping off while you are tracing.
  • It is advisable to put a blank sheet under the tracing paper while covering the blank side with graphite, to protect the work surface and to make the lines to be copied more visible.
  • Handle your items with care because graphite stains.
  • Before making the desired tracing, do a lot of practice with simple drawings, to ensure the success of the work.

Warnings

  • If you are wearing a long-sleeved shirt, roll up the sleeves to prevent them from getting stained.
  • It is advisable to wear clothes that can get dirty.
