Is a key entry missing from your Pokedex? Jirachi is one of the rarest Pokemon, and even though it's a Steel-type, it only weighs a few pounds! Most useful though is its powerful assortment of Psychic attacks. It can be very difficult to get Jirachi, and other than special events (which have long since passed), you can only find it in a few specific methods. Follow this guide to get your Jirachi and finally be able to complete the Pokedex.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Method One: Use the Pokemon Colosseum Bonus (US) Disc
Step 1. Configure your party in Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire
You will need to have at least one free space in the party to receive Jirachi. Once your party is in place, turn off the Game Boy.
Step 2. Connect the Game Boy Advance to the Game Cube
You will need to use the special adapter cable that will allow you to connect the two systems.
Step 3. Run the Bonus Disc
Insert the Pokemon Colossem bonus disc into the Game Cube. The main disc menu will open. Scroll right and select "Jirachi Special Gift".
Step 4. Wait for the transfer
After selecting Jirachi you will be prompted to connect your Game Boy. You will see loading screens on both systems. The transfer will take approximately 30 seconds.
Step 5. Use the new Jirachi
When the transfer is complete, Jirachi will be in your party, ready to be used! You can use the bonus disc to add Jirachi to as many Pokemon copies as you like, but you can only do this once per game. If you start a new game, you will be able to use it again.
Once you have Jirachi, you can trade it for newer versions of Pokemon
Method 2 of 3: Using Pokemon Channel (Europe and Australia)
Step 1. Finish the Pokemon Channel game for the Game Cube
To have access to Jirachi, you will have to watch all the programs, to get the Starlight Projector. This way you can go to Camp Starlight, where you can watch the Pichu Movie.
Step 2. Finish the game (Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald) on your Game Boy Advance
To get Jirachi, you will need to have beaten the Pokemon league. This means that you must have finished the game.
You will need to have free space in the party before you can receive Jirachi
Step 3. Open the Options menu in the Pokemon Channel main menu
Professor Oak will appear and then Jirachi. After a short introductory movie, click Yes to begin the transfer.
- You will be warned that you will need to have beaten the Pokemon league to transfer Jirachi. Click Yes again to proceed.
- You will be prompted if you have room in the party for Jirachi. Click Yes if you have 5 or fewer Pokemon in the party.
Step 4. Connect the Game Boy Advance to the Game Cube
You will need to use the special adapter cable that allows you to connect the two systems. Click Yes when done.
Turn on the Game Boy when prompted
Step 5. Wait for the transfer to complete
It should only take a few seconds. You will see a picture of Jirachi on your Game Boy screen. Turn off the Game Boy when prompted.
Step 6. Use your new Jirachi
When the transfer is complete, Jirachi will be in your party, ready to be used! You can use Pokemon Channel to add Jirachi to as many Pokemon copies as you want, but you will only be able to use it once per game. If you start a new game, you will be able to use it again.
Once you get Jirachi, you can trade it for newer versions of the game
Method 3 of 3: Using the Pro Action Replay
Step 1. Add the Jirachi code to your Action Replay
You can use your computer to quickly inject the code into Action Replay. It will be much easier than doing it with the game boy's on-screen keyboard. Enter the following code in your text editor:

Step 2. Empty your group
Jirachi will be added to the second space of your party, so please empty it for now to avoid conflicts.
Step 3. Press L + R
This will create a level 5 Jirachi in your party. You can repeat the code as many times as you want. Remember to empty the space in the group every time.
