This article explains how to evolve Buneary. The tips included in this guide are also useful for other Pokémon, such as Munchlax, Togepi, Pichu, Igglybuff, Riolu, Chansey and Golbat, and also for evolving Eevee into Umbreon or Espeon. All Pokémon listed evolve when their friendship level is very high.
Steps
Step 1. Capture a specimen of Buneary in the location called "Bosco Evopoli" which is east of the city of "Evopoli"
Step 2. After capturing a Buneary specimen, focus on increasing its friendship level
Refer to the "Tips" section of the article to find out how to do this quickly and safely.
Step 3. Check your PokéKron
Inside there is the app Check Friendship which will be made available after you talk to the brown-haired girl in the Pokémon Center of "Evopolis". The more hearts that will appear when you touch Buneray's image, the higher his friendship level will be.
Step 4. Alternatively, you can take a walk inside the "Concordia Park" of "Hearthome City" with Buneary to increase his affection level
Step 5. Check Buneary's friendship level by meeting people in the game world who have access to this information
The best way to do this is to visit the "Hearthome City" Pokémon Fan Club. Place Buneary in first place on your Pokémon team before talking to the woman you meet. You can also speak to "Dr. Imprint". If Buneary is worthy of receiving the "Footprint" ribbon, it means he is ready to evolve.
Step 6. When Buneary's friendship level is at its maximum it will automatically evolve as soon as it levels up
As you train him to level him up, be careful that he doesn't run out of health points. If you are not sure if he has become strong enough to successfully face a fight, use a "Rare Candy".
Step 7. When Buneary levels up, it will automatically evolve a stronger and more powerful Normal-type Pokémon into Lopunny
Advice
- Always keep Buneary with you. The longer he is part of your Pokémon team and therefore will be in close contact with you, the more affection and attachment he will feel towards you.
- There are several Pokémon that evolve into their other forms in the same way as Buneary and are: Igglybuff, Cleffa, Togepi, Pichu, Riolu, Eevee, Budew, Chansey, Swadloon, Golbat and Woobat.
- Take Buneary to a health club. The Fun Area Flakes Association can be used every 24 hours to pamper your Pokémon with relaxing massages and scrubs that will make them happier.
- Level up your Pokémon. Each time they win a fight or level up they will become more attached to you and their level of affection and friendship will go up.
- Deliver bows to Buneary. The more flakes it has, the faster it will stick to you. Buneary is particularly suited to races related to the "Grace" category, so feed it with sweet "Poffin". Each time he eats a "Poffin" Buneary's virtue level will go up.
- If Buneary owns a "Calmanella", he will feel happier. While part of your Pokémon team, the "Calmanella" will help him increase the level of affection and friendship. You can get a "Calmanella" the first time you visit the "Monte Corona" or it will be delivered to you by the elderly man you will meet along the "Route 225".
- Use "Berries" massively. It is true that Buneary's overall stats will decrease, but her friendship level will go up. If you combine the use of "Berries" with that of stat boosting tools, you will be able to make Buneary happier without any downsides.
- Use vitamins like "Fuel" and "Zinc" to boost Buneary's stats. This way he will not only become stronger, but his friendship level will also increase.
Warnings
- Whenever your Pokémon takes damage from a "Poison" type move, it will lose faith in you. For this reason you must try at all costs not to make him suffer damage of this type.
- Each time your Pokémon is defeated in combat, its affection level will drop. To prevent this from happening, constantly check your Pokémon's health level.
- Excessive use of "Berries" will cause your Pokémon's stats to drop. You should be more patient and avoid resorting to the use of "Berries".
