Regirock is one of Hoenn's three Legendary Pokemon. He has an exceptional defense and some say he can heal himself with the rocks he can find. It can be difficult to find, especially since you will have to solve puzzles to do so. Follow this guide to learn how to find Regirock on Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald and Black and White 2.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald
Step 1. Prepare your group
Put Wailord and Relicanth in your party. They are required to complete the Sealed Chamber puzzle. You will also need to have the Surf, Sub, Pit, Strength and Rock Smash skills. The Flight skill will make things easier for you.
Step 2. Complete the Sealed Chamber puzzle
In order to gain access to Regirock's lair, you will need to solve Braille puzzles in the Sealed Chamber. You can access it by using Sub in the middle of the series of rocks on Route 134. You can find it in the lower part of the route, about halfway.
- In the Sealed Chamber, walk to the Braille sign at the far end of the cave. Stand in the center and use Dig. A door will open in the second room.
- Walk to the back of the room. On Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, use Wailord as the first Pokemon and Relicanth as the last. In Emerald, put Relicanth first and Wailord last.
- Read the sign at the back of the room, and you'll get the message that a door has been opened somewhere in the distance. If your group is not set up correctly, you will not receive this message.
Step 3. Get what you need to fight Regirock
Regirock is level 40, and has a very high defense, so be prepared for a long battle. Make sure you bring enough healing items if your Pokemon can't take too many hits, and be sure to stock up on Mega Balls and Ultra Balls. You will need to bring at least 10 of each, and maybe more.
Step 4. Find the Desert Ruins
Travel to Cyclamipolis. Go north on Route 111 and then walk into the upper right corner. You'll need to use Rock Smash to get through the large boulders, and eventually you'll come to a desert area on your right.
Walk down immediately after entering the desert and you will see a door in the center of a ring of rocks. This is the entrance to the Desert Ruins
Step 5. Walk to the back of the room
You will find a large wall with signs in Braille. Stand facing the center of the signs.
- On Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, walk right two spaces, and then down two spaces. Use Strength. A door will open where the signs were present.
- On Pokemon Emerald, walk left two spaces and then down two spaces. Use the Rock Smash ability. A door will open where the signs were present.
Step 6. Begin the battle with Regirock
Before starting the battle, save the game to be able to load up in case you inadvertently defeat the Pokemon. Walk to the center of the room and talk to the statue. The battle will begin.
- Increase Regirock to 5% health or less. Start throwing Mega ball and Ultra ball to try and catch Regirock. A lot of balls may be needed.
- If you have a Master Ball, you can catch Regirock right away.
Method 2 of 2: Pokemon Black and White 2
Step 1. Finish the game
To access Regirock, you will need to have finished the game, This will allow you to access the Rafan Pass, which you can reach from Libecciopoli.
Step 2. Walk to the end of the tunnel
You will likely have to go through a lot of battles to reach the bottom, so make sure you have a strong group and lots of healing items. Repellents will help you avoid fighting with wild Pokemon.
Step 3. Stand in the center of the circular symbol
You will find a large door with a symbol on the ground in front of it in the last part of the cave. Stand in the center of the symbol.
- Walk down 6 steps.
- Walk right 9 steps.
- Press the A button. A message will appear telling you that you are on a switch. Press A again to activate it.
Step 4. Reach the big door again
Go through it and walk to the end of the room. You will find a Regirock statue in the center. Talk to it to start the battle.
Save before starting
Step 5. Regirock capture
It's level 65, so you'll need to make sure your party is up for the challenge. Bring him to about 5% health, and then start throwing Poké Balls. You will have a good chance with Dusk Ball or Ultra ball. If you have a Master Ball, you can throw it right away without worrying about fighting.
