Gumtree.com is the UK's most used classifieds website. To be able to post or reply to advertisements, you need to create an account. However, what to do when the account in question is no longer needed? This article explains how to delete a profile using the gumtree.com site.
Steps
Step 1. Log in to
To deactivate your Gumtree account, you can use a mobile or computer browser.
- Upon deactivation of your account, you will lose all settings you have saved and will not be able to access them again.
- You will be able to sign up again with the same details to reactivate your account.
Step 2. Hover the mouse cursor over your name
You'll see it in the top right corner of the page, next to the "Hello" greeting. A drop-down menu will open.
Step 3. Select My Details
This option is found almost at the bottom of the menu.
Step 4. Click Deactivate your account
This button is located in the section entitled "Account" at the bottom of the page that has opened.
Step 5. Select a reason and click Deactivate
If necessary, you can change the reason why you decided to delete the account, but you can only choose one. The deactivation process will be started immediately and you will receive a confirmation by e-mail.
