This article shows you how to delete a blog from your Tumblr account using the official website. You can't do this using the Tumblr mobile app, and you can't delete a blog that belongs to another user either. It should be noted that in order to delete your main Tumblr blog you must delete the entire account.
Steps
Part 1 of 2: Deleting a Secondary Blog
Step 1. Go to https://www.tumblr.com/ using your computer's browser
If you are already signed in with your account, the Tumblr dashboard will appear.
- If you are not logged in yet, click on the button Come in, enter your e-mail address, click on the button Come on, enter the password and click on the button Come in.
- When you log in to Tumblr, the main blog linked to your account is automatically displayed, which is the one that was set up during profile creation. The main blog can only be deleted by deleting the Tumblr account. However, the user is free to delete any secondary blog linked to their main account using this method.
Step 2. Click on the "Account" icon
It features a stylized human silhouette and is positioned at the top right of the Tumblr page. A drop-down menu will appear.
Step 3. Click on Settings
This button features a gear icon (⚙️), located within the "Account" section of the drop-down menu that appeared.
Step 4. Select the blog to delete
Click on the name of the blog you want to delete in the "Blog" section, displayed on the right side of the page. The settings page of the chosen blog will appear.

Step 5. Scroll the page to the bottom
This is where the option to delete the selected blog is displayed.
Step 6. Click on the Delete [blog name] entry
It's a gray button at the bottom of the page. The "[blog name]" parameter will display the name of the blog you want to delete.
For example, to delete the blog named "orcasandoreos", you will need to click on the button Eliminate orcasandoreos at the bottom of the page.
Step 7. Enter your email address and password
When prompted, confirm your identity by typing the address and password you use to log into Tumblr in the "Email" and "Password" text fields.
Step 8. Click the Delete [blog name] button
It is red in color and located below the "Password" text field. The Tumblr blog you selected will be deleted from your account.
Part 2 of 2: Delete Your Account
Step 1. Go to https://www.tumblr.com/ using your computer's browser
If you are already signed in with your account, the Tumblr dashboard will appear.
If you are not logged in yet, click on the button Come in, enter your e-mail address, click on the button Come on, enter the password and click on the button Come in.
Step 2. Click on the "Account" icon
It features a stylized human silhouette and is positioned at the top right of the Tumblr page. A drop-down menu will appear.
Step 3. Click on Settings
It is located within the "Account" section of the drop-down menu that appeared, next to the gear icon.
Step 4. Scroll the appeared page to the end
This point on the Tumblr settings page displays the option that allows you to delete your account.
Step 5. Click the Delete Account button
It is displayed at the bottom of the page.
If you see the button Delete [blog name], it means you are viewing a secondary blog. In this case, click on the name of the main blog on the right side of the page, scroll to the bottom and click on Delete account, before continuing.
Step 6. Enter your email address and password
When prompted, confirm your identity by typing the address and password you use to log into Tumblr in the "Email" and "Password" text fields.
Step 7. Click Delete All
It is a red button; you can find it under the "Password" text field. Your Tumblr account and all blogs associated with it will be deleted immediately.

"Deleting your Tumblr account is permanent. Once the account is deleted, it cannot be restored."
Advice
As long as the main Tumblr account is active, you will have the ability to create and delete as many blogs as you like without any limitations
Warnings
- The deletion of your Tumblr account is permanent, so it will not be possible to cancel it.
- When you delete a blog, remember that you will never be able to restore it.
